That title is of course dramatic for clickbait or whatever. Lol. Well, it's not my favorite thing, painting backgrounds. It's really hot tonight so I sweat through this one. I had to get it done and out of the way so I sat here for like four hours doing it. I made it detailed enough to look good but flat enough to not distract. That's the intent, at least.
If you look REALLY close, I also added a paper texture to this. I like adding textures to drawings, it's pretty easy to do when exporting digital images, but in animation it's a bit tricky since youtube compression hates it. So I just leave the textures to the backgrounds, since they don't move and thus won't upset youtube compression.
As for this video, I've finished all the colors on the characters. Mostly. There's still one little bit of animation at the end I have to finish. It shouldn't be too hard, but it's that thing of the last thing you do in a project being the hardest part. Not sure why that's the case, but it very much is. I also gotta make sure to really nail how it looks since it's sort of the punchline and I want it to land so people walk away thinking "That was funny."
