ANIMATED PROGRESS CLIP: Kirby, kirby, kirby.

Here's a special first look EXCLUSIVE preview of my upcoming MASHED video.

This is straight up the first ten seconds of the video. This is how it starts. It was boarded by my friend King! They did about half the storyboards of the whole video, and they're doing pretty much all the colors, so you're gonna see a LOT of their work in the final video.

There are a good few shots with some really cool looking shading and lighting, like the one shot of Dedede from behind I think looks so cool. It's like "movie based on a cartoon show" good. Kind of a pain to draw though. But I'm making progress.

I was actually really, really proud of how Kirby's walk cycle turned out. Walk cycles can be tricky, but I got it down good in a pretty short amount of time.

Aside from a couple lines (Or, one line repeated in two different inflections?) the voice acting here is a one-man-show, too. I'm sure a lot of you may be used to my cartoons having Dana Snyder Dedede, or the anime with Ted Lewis, so it may be a jarring adjustment. Please listen to this clip as many times as you have to before the full video comes out so you can be fully adjusted to it! Steven Kelly, the aforementioned "one-man," really went all-in with this one, I gotta say. He's really helped paint the rainbow of emotions Dedede undergoes here. Well, I say a rainbow, but, it miiight be mostly anger and despair. Classic Dedede!

That may be all I have for today. Right now, I'm waiting to hear back on what other animators will be on this. There have been talks of one person in particular, someone of a veteran of online animation, who would be kind of exciting to work with. Haha, just sorta starstruck, here! He hasn't officially joined yet, though, so I can't say who it is. I'm hoping it's something of a 50/50 split, like in Clone Chaos Part 2, because at the rate at which I'm progressing that would be ideal for finishing this in the next three weeks. Yep, that's how much time I got! June 15th!!

Let me know what you think of the animation so far, the colors, the sound, all that. Please trust me, this will be incredible. Well, it'll be pretty good. I'm definitely proud of it. It might be the funniest thing I've made? But that is subjective. Ah, it's just so cool!!! OK!!! Can you guess what the story is yet??? It's a really great story. OK!!! BYE!!!
