Oh crap!!! It's the MAD CLOWN!! From Super Punch Out? You've played it! Come on!
Nah, no no. I've actually never played this game. But, I thought "A boxing clown?" and realized it was a pretty perfect scenario to include. I've faithfully replicated the original poses of the sprite art as a clever homage, and certainly did not trace them as a cost-cutting measure.
As I've shown in a couple of previews, there will be plenty of scenes that mirror the original Clown Town. In such a way where, if you were to play them both side-by-side, then they'd kind of match. It's like poetry, it rhymes.
This particular scene is actually meant to correlate with Clownpiece's appearance, because for this I'm also planning to mimic some UI elements from the source material. The last two images here are exactly that. Super Punch Out has health bars with little character portraits, see. The Jevil one came out pretty cute. Marx doesn't get one since he's playing referee.
As for general updates on this video, I've got a guest animated segment that's been turning out really cool. Seriously! You gotta see it. I'll show it to you sometime. When the video is released. LOL. It's a very quick surprise. I'm not spoiling it. PLEASE! I'm not. Isn't that exciting though? There's more to this than meets the eye, you see. Ooooh. So interesting.
