Random Unauthorized Ideas

Hey! I honestly have not been working on much lately. I'm still waiting for things to move forward with Mashed so I've been taking it easy. I thought I should give you SOMETHING though. So here's something!
Here are snippets of current pitches I have sent to Mashed, none of which have been approved for moving forward so far. So I'm not sure whether to tell you to expect them or not? I think they're all really great ideas, though. I hope they do get approved eventually. Here they are in TEXT FORM:
"SONIC’S NEW SUPERSTAR
- Eggman is trying to spy on Sonic and the gang using an inconspicuous bird bot, but the tech is too spotty to get a clear image. He storms out of the room, frustrated, leaving his holographic AI assistant daughter Sage to tell him if the connection improves. Sage, glaring menacingly at the fuzzy images on screen, hatches a plan. A brief montage shows her building a high-tech mechanical body, which she intends to use to go undercover.
- The next day, Sage’s full metallic shell is revealed: an uncanny, scrap-metal approximation of an anthropomorphic cat. She introduces herself to Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Knuckles as “Nip the Cat,” asking if she can tag along with them. Amy enthusiastically obliges, as they’re about to head North towards an old Egg Factory to do some Badnik smashing, but Sonic reminds her of their “four player maximum” clause from Sega. She tells Knuckles to beat it, which he does without hesitation. However, seeming suspicious of Nip, the echidna follows along in the shadows.
- Beginning her adventure with the three superstars, Nip asks Tails if he ever feels insecure about being the youngest. He says it gets to him sometimes, but the support from Sonic always cheers him up. Nip asks Tails to repeat himself more clearly into her Pikachu pencil topper, which is clearly an incognito microphone. After a small awkward beat, the team is ambushed by a squad of hostile Badniks.
- Sonic, Tails, and Amy all fight the robots, scrap metal and bolts and explosions flying everywhere. There’s one last Motobug, but Sonic suggests they let Nip finish the job. Amy tosses Nip her hammer. Nip hesitates, their robotic eyes staring into one another, but does the deed, smashing the beetle into pieces. The little bird trapped inside flutters out, giving Nip a delicate peck on the cheek. Amy explains that this is why they’re always Badnik hunting: it’s not about causing carnage, it’s about protecting the innocent. Nip appears mesmerized as the bird flies away. She now wants her new friends to teach her EVERYTHING."
"EGGMAN DATA SCRAPING
- Eggman unveils his new AI invention, a machine that scrapes data from all of the greatest existing nearby technology, in order to create the algorithmically perfect war machine. He tests the newly created soldier on his minion, Cubot, both of which he has locked in a room with a one-way mirror. The soldier immediately appears to be hostile and battle-ready, deploying all sorts of missiles and sawblades and lasers onto the hapless Cubot.
- Eggman then decides to employ a full-scale invasion on the city, helped by the machine’s fast-building quick-learning algorithm. However, when he tails the army down to the city to inspect their behavior, all the machines only do things like reviewing homework, helping with chores, and making pleasant conversation. Worse yet, they’re seemingly programmed to attack Eggman and any robots of his on sight (hence the prior hostility towards Cubot). Problematic for the doctor, since he’s armed them to the teeth with an endless onslaught of his most dangerous weapons.
- This doesn’t make any sense, says Eggman. I expressly instructed the algorithm to feed from only my greatest existing technology.
- Orbot asks “YOUR greatest existing technology, or just the greatest existing technology in general?”
- “What’s the difference?” Eggman asks, before the realization dawns on him. No wonder the machines are so dedicated to being kind and quashing his other robots. The army’s behavior is based on the inventions of the pesky too-good Tails! Cutaway to Tails in his Lab surrounded by helpful little droids behaving similar to the soldiers.
- Just when he’s about to head back to his base to decommission his army, Eggman discovers that everyone in the city has grown to love these machines for being so helpful. Specifically, he overhears the mayor saying “Whoever built these should be running things instead of me!”"
"LUIGI’S TALKING FLOWER
- Luigi has a huge crush on Daisy, wants to ask her out but always chokes
- Sees an ad for a Talking Flower; advert boasts it giving you newfound confidence and communication skills
- Luigi orders one, when it arrives he uses it to ask out Daisy
- On the date, whenever Luigi struggles to speak up, the flower speaks for him with incredible charisma.
- It gets REALLY bold and flirtatious, but Daisy is into it.
- She suggests Luigi should come over to her place Saturday; The flower immediately says yes, but after Daisy leaves, Luigi tells the flower he has plans that day.
- Flower says it’s a real bummer, and that they’ll have to call her and tell her they can’t make it. He does so, with the flower’s help."
"THE KIRB-EXORCIST
- Meta Knight is invited to Castle Dedede for dinner. Dedede is behaving incredibly unusually, very cold and collected. Scene has the atmosphere of something like Dracula. A very cagey Bandana Waddle Dee ends the dinner early, sending the knight home and the king to bed. Meta Knight sneakily sticks around to see that Dedede has been possessed by a demon!
- Kirby enters the castle some time after, carrying a small sealed box. He looks around for Dedede, eventually making his way to the king’s bedroom. When he opens the door, things are flying all over the place and everyone’s screaming, like that one famous scene in The Exorcist. Kirby, unperturbed, shouts at the possessed Dedede, breaking the demon’s focus for one moment, giving Meta Knight a chance to grab Kirby and BWD and make a run for it. Dededemon gives chase, sprouting spider legs from his back like he’s the thing from The Thing. Kirby, annoyed, keeps breaking Meta Knight’s grasp and running towards the monster, still carrying the box, but Meta Knight is quick to grab him and keep running.
- Eventually, Kirby breaks free and hands the box to the monster. It opens the box to find..."
What's next for Mashed? Well. I don't want to say much. Mostly because there isn't much to say. I'm hoping to discuss the details of the next cartoon with them this week. Right now it's basically just at a conceptual phase, and I really don't know where to take it from there. We'll see.
Which of these pitches do YOU want to be turned into a video???
