More storyboard drawings! Heavily featuring this shop location.
Last time I talked about how I have to do background layouts on these. I'm noticing I keep putting a really high amount of fine-tuned detail into the establishing shots. Not sure why. I guess cause there's no animation, I feel obligated to put a little extra in the sketch.
There's a really fun bit of acting here with Luigi at the front desk with this Tailor Toad character. Can't wait to bring that to its full justice. Oh, right, can you guess what the plot of this is by the way? Like what's happening here? Probably a really bare idea of the mechanics at play, right? Ah, whatever, back to Tailor Toad.

This design came together pretty well I think. I mean the real centerpiece of it all is the pin cushion mushroom cap, right? King (visual development and coloring) thought of that detail. Very clever! The pins in the head might look kind of painful, but I guess you can just think of them like how people in real life have piercings on their heads. Not too morbid!
I also wrote them to have a French accent. Is that a trope, French tailors? If not, then I guess I don't really have an explanation for them being French. It just fit the character. Look at them, right?
Right now I have 3/10 script pages fully boarded. What's my daily page average? Who freakin knows. Let's say like 1/2-3/4 of a page every day. I'm always a bit slower than I'd like, but that's fine I guess. So far I'm proud of it all. Good video on the horizon? Possibly!
