CLIP: MONSTERS (100th Animated Progress Clip)
Added 2024-03-26 08:20:30 +0000 UTCIT'S THE 100TH VIDEO POST I'VE MADE ON PAINTREON! A really complex sequence that took me all of today to draw. ALL of today.
This is a sequence that might be familiar to you if you've kept up with all my posts this month. I previously showed off the Bugnik designs as well as the thumbnails for this sequence in THIS post. I talked about King doing co-boarding buuuut plans changed so now I kinda gotta rush to get them done myself. I'M BEING STRONG.
This definitely might be the most intricate sequence in this whole story. I wanted just this single shot of the three heroes running and dealing with all these insects that resemble Sonic enemies. Just showing off a bit of their team dynamic. I'm really proud of how it turned out, actually! Hoping it will look really smooth and cool when it's fully animated!
I also wanted to add a little bit showing Eggman getting overwhelmed by all these insects. Here you can probably get a sense of the dynamic that drives this story: Sonic and friends all in their element while Eggman is barely keeping it together. The irony being that all these creatures are things he's designed his own robots after. Yes yes. Very clever. Thank you, Seap. Of course.
Still a ways to go in terms of boarding part 1. About 40 seconds. A little over half a page of script. Luckily there's nothing too complex left for this first part, so I should be done with it in the next couple days. And then there's the whole second half I still gotta board. HAH! Man, I tell you, every time I make one of these, it's like "I'm not gonna survive this one." This might be the one, though. If this doesn't come out in May, then I've probably lost my job. Just a head's up. LOL. Just kidding. 😀
