CLIP: Company Morale Is Low
Added 2024-06-04 08:05:56 +0000 UTCThe first scene of the new Sonic video is now DONE! Well, it still needs to be colored. But as for my part, it's basically DONE!!!
It's about 35 seconds in total, the first scene, all 8 shots of it, and this is the last of those shots. This is a pretty funny moment so I thought it would be fun to share.
The relationship between Sage and Orbot/Cubot is a potential we have yet to see tapped, if it is ever going to be explored in detail, so it was fun to imagine the sort of dynamic they'd have. I don't think she outright hates them like some people may have gotten from the first part. Rather, I think they hold Eggman in very different regards, so in a situation like this where it seems like he's disappeared, I would think Sage would find their bumbling shenanigans distasteful. So she acts pretty cold towards them.
Is she always like this? I don't think so. Hopefully I get to do more with her in the future :D
Anything else to report? Not really. I'm proud of how resourceful I was with frames here. And I think the camera shift in the middle of the shot came out pretty smooth. I would say this scene is the longest I'm ever holding onto one setting as far as scenes I'm animating myself go, so from here on out it's like you're getting sprinkles of Seap animation every now and then. I wonder if you can spot when it's me and when it's someone else! It should be less easy to do now that we all work in the same program with similar settings.
