FIRST LIFE Storyboards: Left or Right?

In this sequence, Sonic is rushing down a treacherous corridor, and has to choose between two paths. The dilemma here is that he keeps choosing the path that leads to his demise, over and over, so the Extra Lives have to find a way to steer him to safety. How do they accomplish this? I'll keep it a mystery for now.
One thing I want to do for Sonic in this sequence is give him a few upgrades on his gloves and shoes, like in the Sonic Adventure games. For much of the second half of this cartoon, I'm not drawing from any particular stories in the Sonic canon, but I also want to give little hints as to where in the Sonic timeline these events could be occurring. Such a detail is not really that important to this story, but I imagine it's something people will be wondering about regardless, so there you go!
