They do have pacifiers as an accessory to wear that you can download but they aren't functional. I'd love a functional one as well!

My child even after being weaned (18 months of BF) will still ask for milk and she’s 21 months old now 😂😂 when I say no she stomps her foot 😂😂💀

I'm so excited about the possibility of bf toddlers. I nursed my kids into toddlerhood. My oldest for 2 1/2 years and my youngest for 2 years. They both self-weaned. I'm happy to answer any questions.

So excited for this mod. Maybe also for another idea for the future is more pregnancy complications and birth complications I think it would make the game feel more real.

I wish that someone would make functional pacifiers in general. I know there was one for toddlers, but it hasn't been updated and I would love one active for infants too if its possible.

If you are thinking about doing a weaning feature then a possible idea may be to do something with pacifiers simultaneously? Pacifiers could be a way to help wean the toddler, and you could also use the same process you come up with for weaning to then wean off of pacifiers. Idk if this would be very difficult or not and certainly not how to do it but the processes are similar.

Ooo editing the birth certificate will be awesome. Currently, I use LittleMissSam's mod for this. Your animations are so pristine. I could no longer play my family style if I didn't have this mod. It is true that most toddlers are Breastfed until about 2 years old now so this will be a realistic addition. A weening interaction would also be cool. I am not sure what your personal experience with this is but the process would probably just include a sentiment and/or moodlet of unhappy toddler who isn't allowed to breast feed as often as they want and is going through Led weaning. Led weaning is the process of introducing bite size foods to children once they get the pincer grasp down and have a couple of teeth so children start at different times. This has already been added to the game so I don't think you need to bother with that really. But they didn't add a moodlet or sentiment or milestone for being weaned which could be done. Just a thought.

Hey! So I actually work in a Montessori school where I teach toddlers. Now, they actually need to be weened before coming into our classroom, but we do have a Nido (infant) classroom where infant led weaning takes place. I think this process may also serve helpful for you. Basically, they still get their bottles/breast milk but we slowly start adding components like baby foods, allowing them to try and experience those, deciding what they like and don’t like. After a while we switch to solid foods that are altered based on their progress in growing their teeth. We have a 7/8 month old who is on solids but very limited since he only has like two teeth 💀 but he eats things like pineapple and banana, and softened foods like lasagna etc. (we have a chef that understands how to cater to the needs of an infant). But yeah basically the baseline of the weening technique is to ween them off the breast first (from breast to bottle), then from bottle to a little training cup, and then take out breast milk completely while simultaneously introducing them to baby and solid foods. Hai! I'm so glad to see you're doing the toddler breastfeeding mod! I don't have personal experience weaning a toddler but my parents decided to have a baby yearsss later so I have a 2.5yr old sister who is being weaned now! It's different for every child when it comes to weaning some throw tantrums, others cry, and some are more calm about it. It's also important to realize their are two types of weaning there is day weaning and night weaning. Mothers choose themselves which to do first and how to go about it but one of the most common ways is dropping one feed a week so to avoid mastitis (gives body time to adjust). Right now my younger sister is still really attached but mainly only breastfeeds in the morning when she wakes up and sometimes my Mom nurses her to sleep she's currently trying to cut out that feed now. I'm about to start a lactation course so then I can become a board certified lactation consultant, so if you have any practiculiar questions you can ask me! Also sorry for my grammar mistakes I'm rushing lol

Wow. I'm incredibly in love with everything you just showed. My daughter is already rolling her eyes because I'm squeaking and whooping all the time. *laughs* And since we're already on the topic. I have to say that I haven't really weaned my daughter. At least not during the day. I did it when I realized that she no longer needed it and could understand it. When she was 3 years old I said to her that Minna (that's what she called my breast. :D ) needs rest and sleep during the day because she still wants to breastfeed in the evening. So she kissed my chest, said: Good night, sleep well, Minna, and went back to play. *grin* At night it was different. There was a real tantrum when I was 4, but I hugged her, told her I loved her and we could still cuddle at night. After two nights the topic was eaten and she fell asleep without breastfeeding. :) But she was already big and didn't really need it anymore. Ah! I absolutely love what you are doing right now and first of all I'm throwing out my "toddlers breastfeed mod". :)

This mod is amazing! Is it possible to add the weight of the baby in metric instead of imperial (so grams and cm's instead of lbs and inches)? Since most of the world use these. (Or make it an option to choose between the two).

One of my kids was an easy wean. He preferred cup or bottle after it was introduced. My youngest was hard. She would whine, pull at me, cry. I had to wait until she was old enough to understand empathy. So if I said I had a boo-boo there, she would understand it hurts. So needless to say, she was almost 3 😅

Weaning my toddler was difficult for me emotionally. She would cry and I hated to see her sad, I wanted to give in so badly at times. But I had to remind myself of the progress we’d made after a few days. Days turned to weeks but I’d be lying if I said was easy. It was hard for me. I had to remember to not let her see them like when I used to bathe with her and get undressed in front of her I couldn’t do that anymore without her wanting to nurse. It’s an emotional bittersweet journey. I’m glad to have them back to myself tho 😂

Previous student midwife and doula here. I think it would be super cute if there was an interaction to wean the toddler with finality that led to a moodlet about emotions for the parent when breastfeeding is done. Like, I can’t believe it’s over, bittersweet, over the moon to be done, etc.
