Army Wives Chapter Twenty Four

Y'know guys, sometimes food can actually be drugs.

This chapter is brought to you by personal experience and The Sopranos. If you know the show you know the episode. If you know the experience, then I'm truly sorry.

I've been on both sides of an intervention and they are not fun. Addicts (myself included) tend to turn into cornered animals when they're intervened on. The subject is pretty much guaranteed to not be in the best mental state to deal with such a confrontation. So they just get super defensive and hurl vitriol around the room. A lot of it will be asinine and driven purely by desperation, but every now and again they'll throw a good point or two out there. So I wanted Sinead to have that variety in her responses to her family's concerns. Christopher's intervention on The Sopranos is one of my favorite scenes in the whole series. The way Tony loses it when he finds out his murderous, racketeering, junky nephew also accidentally killed Adriana's dog is so god damn funny.

I remember that Sopranos episode well and this brought up similar issues in a complex way, just like the show. Most glaringly, Rob is arguably more disfunctional than Sinead, and she's right to call him out for hiding inside himself when she needed him. FWIW I've never had been part of or subject of an intervention but honestly every psychologist I've ever known is totally fucking bonkers lol. Doesn't mean they're not equipped to help people but it's hard to take their advice seriously when they're wearing their own crazy on their sleeves.

Man, this is starting to rival Moving Back Home, which is the greatest WG story of all time. I hope Sinead gets HUGE.

I wouldn't dream of it my friend.

Please don't abandon the fat smut though

Thank you very much, man! I actually am very interested in expanding into other genres and into more mainstream kind of work. I don't want to announce anything yet because I have a bad habit of bailing on projects and getting cold feet. But I do have something in the works on the side that I hope will expose my work to people outside the wg community and open more doors for me and my writing. The plan is definitely to make a full time living off of this. Thanks again for your support and kind words!

Jack Torrance

Thought provoking and insanely well written. I normally look a little sideways at WG serial installments that have zero practical erotic charge, but this is clearly setting the stage for a payoff. Always an interesting experience when a WG story has you getting all introspective with yourself. Do you write professionally in a more mainstream way? I'm sure since you haven't divulged that up to this point you're not interested in doing so, but I hope that it is the case. You're far too talented and polished not to be living off of this gift.
