Tier 3: DJShort S02E03 - Knight of Clay Release

Here we go, the next DJShort, which features a DC theme as the Gotham Knights all band together to take on Clayface!
May add Clayface to the line up later on depending on how you guys like him. Lots of new kinks introduced here and a few surprises.

I thought the action scene at the start was really well done (and Tim in that robin costume always looks good) The opening shot was great. I loved the car driving up. I would say I would have added maybe 2 seconds to the car opening up. It kind of felt like it cut to the next scene mid sound effect. So I would say let shots like that marinate for a smidge longer so they don't feel like they ended so abruptly. The vocal transformation of claycface was really well done. It was such a smooth transition. I thought all the animations with claycface were well done. The forming, the clay shooting out, the tentacles, all the little hands forming. So many nice touches (hehe). A little wonky with red hood walking up the stairs there but not major. The iron man shots of redhoods "HUD" display were fantastic. I loved that little touch. I loved how we had two different scenarios. It was just the same tentacles with red hood. It the extra mile to make each section feel unique. Good facial animations for red hood. I like the touch of "yeah" at the end. Red hood was totally enjoying that haha. Giving rightwing a front row shot (hehe) was a great way to involve him without actually involving him. I don't really understand the "Clayface babies" part. It didn't go anywhere. At first I was like oh this is interesting. I wonder what's going to happen next. Then nothing happened and I was kind of expecting a tease at the end maybe...but then nothing. So it was a wasted 20 seconds or so that could have gone to something relevant to the plot of the short. A bit anti climactic with that part. Just went and watched it again, I guess that regenerator looking thing was the "baby" Idk still felt like it was a needless thing that didn't really fit with the animation. Still felt random and out of place and didn't amount to anything. But man wasn't expecting Damian to show up! I loved the save at the end. I internally clapped when I saw it was him. I was like "There's no way it's Damian" I wonder who it is...and it was Damian. Haha. Great part. The ending was great. I loved the water effect and the melting of clay face. That was all animated well. I loved the dialogue between them all. I loved the ending with them taking off in the different vehicles. That's a great detail to throw in there that most other people wouldn't have bothered with. They would have ended with the pan up. But, like always, you went the extra mile. the dialogue all flowed smoothly. Great character moments (enough teasing us. It's time for a Damian and Tim set lol) I loved red hood casually putting his pants back on like nothing happened lol. best lines though. "I killed you in mine" "Wait, did he just say he killed you?" "long story" hahaha that was amazing. Other random notes: the explosion at the start was great and the spray effects fantastic. I really enjoyed the focus on characters with this one. I thought you nailed this one and hit it out of the park! Really creative with the different uses of claycface. It would have been easy just go with the simple tentacles for everything but you spiced it up for both Tim and Redhood. I really liked the shot of redhood dropping down behind claycface. I thought that was wonderfully animated.
