discord?

i've been thinking about a Discord server, or some other online community. it only makes sense for an interpersonal skills channel to have a place where people can connect.

i have a few concerns, however...

1. it may get out of hand (too big, losing meaning and respect)

2. it will become an approval contest.

i do not want it to be a place where people race to be liked like most communities i see, i want it to be a place of discussion, understanding, and learning. a mature, inclusive space.

at the moment, i do not see myself creating one.

what do you guys think? let me know, i value everyone's opinion.

Hello, That's a bit counter-intuitive seeing what you communicate on YouTube and what we can see in the few comments above. Don't you want to help people connect meaningfully with each other? In my opinion, with the right set of people and policies, it could be the seed for a great place to talk, share, and discuss while staying true to your vision. I don't know, though ^^ (maybe start small and find way to promote collaboration / discussion over subject you care ? it could help in your writing I think)

Having one and keeping discussion very low-key would be nice! Like was said, maybe wait until you find someone else to help you run it, that way you can focus on your content and the work that means the most to you
