Plastic Mermaid Illustration Making-Of

It is now hanging in the Frisian museum on the North Sea island Föhr.

To celebrate this I finally edited my drawing process. Now you can watch about 4-5 hours of work in convenient 7 minutes!

Until the very end it was an open question whether the exhibition opening can take place safely despite the pandemic, but the weather was kind and it could take place outside with a limited number of people, who were mostly the exhibiting artists. So we made our way to the island!

I even won the 3rd place in the illustration category, yay! You can check out the other winners here. (Of course I was wearing mermaid pants!)

I think I am a bit in love with North Sea islands now, it's such a great mix of beautiful nature, but also some cold roughness. The amount of visible stars in the sky was breathtaking and watching a beautiful new moon set over the sea was absolutely stunning.

I truly enjoyed this short trip. And I think I will donate the prize money to some ocean cleaning initiative, since I participated in this exhibition to support the good cause in the first place. If you know serious organisations, post them in the comments, please.
