Kang is actually an amazingly done character for this point in the story. He serves as a foil to the person that Jinwoo used to be while also giving us a glimpse of what future Jinwoo could look like. Kang also has some interesting values and opinions that you kinda cannot argue with. Like 'Hunters are fundamentally different from humans, you cannot hold them to the same morals.' He has also recognized, like Jinwoo has, that inside a dungeon it is survival of the fittest and they both accept this. Not to mention he has the one of the hardest lines ever as his last words, that is also super foreshadowing. He is definitely a bad dude but in terms of literary value he is top tier in such a short amount of time!
