History of Garden Knights

Gold Ring's Garden Knights were founded after the central garden moved from the small island ColVilous to the city center. Their purpose is to maintain religious efficacy in the history and authenticity of the story of Agur and Sieg, the main source of the GR Constitution. At that time, Gold Ring was already prospering with a lot of trade, people of various appearances immigrating and living equally as Gold Ring residents. Garden Knights are civil servants who work under the name of Gold Ring's Law. The Law of Gold Ring is synonymous to religion in the eyes of many, having the same effect on people. They are not mere security guards or individuals, they have a higher meaning to Gold Ring traditions and it's citizens. In contrast to the nobility rooted in "pure blood", the Garden Knights have their origins in "mixed blood". A representation of Gold Ring as a whole becoming a multi-ethnic nation, a symbol of prosperity and growth to their people. In order to become a Garden Knight there is a strict condition imposed to the fur colour of Sergal individuals who join the ranks. They must have "Golden or Yellow Fur", which is a characteristic often found in mixed-type species teetering on the eastern and southern parts.

Civil Side History - After Reono and Gold Ring had a sufficient period of time trading wares and mingling people, beautiful individuals like them became commonly seen in Gold Ring. This is an aspect which symbolizes the development and adoption of Gold Ring's Garden Knights; People attributing a proud image of prosperity and success to them and maintaining interest in preserving their history, no longer losing interest in it over time because of living symbols walking amongst them.

The History of the law - Nobles with older roots are the ones which embody the law by their own lineage and the Garden Knights express it by being a physical embodiment of it. In other words, they play the role of face and clothes of artistocratic blood. Through this embodiement the stories of old will not lose their true meaning.

Although the Garden Knights possess both the responsibility of representing the old and new story as a living symbol for the people, ultimately they, themselves are civil servants and only function as expressions and representations. They do not posess any special government powers or political sway.

Main roles in GR

Garden Knights are civil servants, as such they will be subject to exams prescribed by law and hired by law. It is important to note that the Nobility and other people do not qualify to hire civil servants as individuals, they are stipulated and mandatorily assigned by law. However the employment of maids and craftsmen for day-to-day living purposes is permitted.

Their main line of work is maintaining security in the central garden area. There are various legal facilities, aristocratic streets, and gardens planted with green Eltus plants. It is illegal to break into the gardens or enter arbitrarily, it is considered to be an out-ring tendency.

The Noble's Eltus Gardens are filled to the brim with precious Eltus plants and seedlings which have an unbelievable high price, treated like gold grains. Because of this the seeds are highly coveted and some of people want to steal them for personal gain, the Garden Knights serve to protect these gardens and plants.

In addition to preventing illegal entry and theft, they are patrolling the premises to detect more than a few threats. Eltus Gardens, its seeds, aristocrats and others are protected by religion and law. All citizens of Gold Ring must obey them.

Gold Ring's Central area is isolated from the outside world, thus one of the most important duties for a Garden Knight was the role of a courier. Sergals were the most reliable on foot to navigate around town and report important events such as security risks, fires, etc. until the development of electronic communication equipment. Thus they are trained to have a lot of stamina in order to run long distances, akin to a taxi driver (Rickshaw).

Another line of work theirs is "ceremony". At various festivals and events, they march as a symbol of Gold Ring's law and participate in several parades. Their appearance is full of dignity and continues to instill a sense of dignity and religion to all people of Gold Ring. By doing this, the laws and history maintain their value in their continued existence all by themselves.

Appearance, Culture

They are trained in close quarter combat however, their equipment is assumed to be interpersonal, akin to that of the GRVC police officers with a few differences. They posess lances which stand as Sacred Symbols. The weapons of the Garden Knights aren't equipped with genuine blades, their function is to catch an invader or thief without hurting them. Their mere presence serves to provide a strong psychological pressure to the people around them. During General Rain's raid of Gold Ring, the Garden Knights themselves fought as well alongside GRVC, armed with proper iron spears.

Garden Knight armor is a very expensively decorated armor with delicate and fine Agudner engravings. They do not wish to damage this so they will actively try to avoid conflict as much as possible. The appearance alone evokes the Judda symbology and it receives the attention and admiration of many people.

They stand as a testament of time and tradition, as seen in the history section, in order to become a Garden Knight you must have a certain fur colour. Other entry requirements include learning the complete history of Gold Ring by heart as well as taking up exams for admission. As long as these two conditions are met, there is no other restriction imposed on any Sergal wishing to join the ranks. For this reason, there are many people not born within Gold Ring serving within the Garden Knight ranks, some can even be distinguished by accent alone!

A lot of people from Reono think the Garden Knights are amazing enough to uproot their life and move to Gold Ring in order to attempt to take exams and hopefully join the ranks. his is not a way open to all people because of the limited fur color. And they will actually quickly come to learn that it is a boring, training life because of how peaceful Gold Ring is overall.

 槍持ちの文化は比較的新しいものであり、貴族が「純血」に根ざしたものであることと対称的に、槍持ちは「混血」に根ざしたものになります。槍持ちになるために、「金色または黄色の毛皮｣の外見的な素養が条件になっており、これは東部と南部にまたがる混血種に多く見られる特徴です。

GRでの主な役割
