Vilous | Cat Sweeper, a Plant-type Talyxian Organism [Pre-reading the Raw Concept]

Hello. Me and Mick discussed much about a certain Talyxian plant. The theme of this time is about that plant.

Nekonotorimochi / cat sweeper is a large pipe-like tree with a height of approximately 5 meters to 100 meters, inhabited mainly in  northern grassland, or Thekan and Vetla. In Magoe, there seems to be more than 200 meters, but  boundary between Magoe's forest and the sky is not clearly confirmed because deep miasma rises and is blurry.

Appearance features

The cat sweeper grows slower than other Talyxian plants, but it is not so rare. However, large ones are extremely rare. It looks somewhat like mineral, tree trunk is thick and smooth. It grows linearly or somewhat serpentine and has many thick branches and cavities extending horizontally almost 90 degrees. The color is generally grayish, but often has a mottled color and furry-like surface. The reason for this will be described later.

Ecological features

cat sweeper is kind of gray type Talyxian plant. Unlike the red type Talyxian plant, it is thought that it is not directly contributing to breeding and nutrition movement relationships in the ecosystem. (It looks a bit like a wolf). As a characteristic of the name, they are ideal bedding for Talyxian stalker. Trunks are hard to climb for other animals, tree branches and holes have moderate friction and softness, and they act peacefully on their nerves. While going there several times, they like cat sweeper, and eventually they abandon their desires and  assimilate into tree branches with deep sleep and happiness. And the surface of the trees will be wrapped in their fur, growing with their furs. From this, cat sweeper is also called "tree of happiness". Since T - Stalker does not like low places, traces of many T - Stalkers are found in tall trees that exceed 10 meters. Lower trees, lower places are covered with furs of small animals such as Talyxian squirrels and child bears, rarely rats. These are generally rough and sparse compared to those of cats.

Use

It is hard to catch T-Stalker without any help, but this plant is useful to get their fur. The fur obtained by cutting down cat sweeper or stripping a branch will be used for Agudner and Sergal clothes. Basically, higher places give better quality fur. However, high altitude is accompanied by considerable danger, so it is often seen to compromise on lower furs. In the northern part, we have relied Agudner for collection and processing techniques for a long time, so it has been regarded as precious clothing for Sherman. Although mainly used in the northern part, Agur and others seemed to have magical meaning as well.

Other

Like the wild T-Associator (wolves) for Talyxian woods, T-Rooters seem to make use of cat sweeper to manage individuals of T-Stalker. Things that have words of extremely strong desire may wake up by shaking off happiness of sleep. Like "I want to eat humans still!" If you do not have a word, they have no reason to give up happiness. Thus, cat sweeper has the effect of splitting wholly wild cats and ones who have desire and words.

ネコノトリモチ(Nekonotorimochi/cat sweeper)は、主に北部の草原、またはThekanとVetlaに生息する、およそ5メートルから100メートルほどの高さを持つ、大きなパイプに似た樹です。Magoeにあるものの場合、200メートルを越えるものもあるようですが、Magoeの森と空の境目は深い瘴気が立ち上ってぼやけているために、はっきりとは確認されていません。

外観的特長

cat sweeperは他のTalyxian plantに比べ、成長はゆっくりですが、それほど珍しいものではありません。しかし、大きいものはごく稀です。やや鉱物質のように見え、幹は太く、なめらかです。それは直線状、あるいは多少曲がりくねって成長し、ほぼ90度の水平に伸びた多くの太い枝や空洞を持ちます。色は一般的に灰色がかっていますが、しばしば、まだら状の色と毛皮のような表面を持っています。この理由については後述します。

生態的特長

cat sweeperは、灰色系統のTalyxian plantであり、赤い系統のTalyxian plantと違い、あまり生態系の中で繁殖や栄養の移動関係に直接寄与していないと考えられています。（これはオオカミに少し似ています）。名前の由来となった特徴として、彼らはTalyxian stalkerにとって理想的な寝床であるという事です。幹は他の動物にとって登りにくく、木の枝と穴は適度な摩擦と柔らかさを持っており、また、彼らの神経に安らかに作用します。彼らは何度かそこへ通ううちにcat sweeperを気に入り、やがて彼らは自らの欲望、そして再び覚醒することを放棄し、深い睡眠と幸福と共に木の枝に同化してゆきます。そして、樹の表面は彼らの毛皮に包まれ、その毛皮ごと成長していくことになります。このことから、cat sweeperは"幸福の樹"とも呼ばれています。T-Stalkerは低い場所を好まないので、多くのT-Stalkerの痕跡は、10メートルを越える高木から見つかります。より低い木、低い場所には、Talyxianのリスや子クマ、まれにネズミなどの小動物の毛皮で覆われています。これらは、一般的に猫のものに比べて荒く、まばらです。

利用

T-Stalkerをそのまま捕まえるのは大変ですが、その毛皮を得る為に有用な植物です。cat sweeperを切り倒して、あるいは枝を剥いで得られた毛皮は、AgudnerやSergalの服に利用されます。基本的に、高い場所ほど良質な毛皮が取れます。しかし、高所はかなりの危険が伴うため、しばしば低い場所の毛皮で妥協することも見られます。北部では、長らく採取・加工技術をAgudnerに頼ってきたので、シャーマンの衣服として貴重なものとされてきました。主に北部での利用が中心でしたが、Agurたちにとっては呪術的な意味合いもあったようです。

その他

Talyxianの森にとってのwild T-Associator(オオカミ)と同様、T-Rooter達が、T-Stalkerの個体管理をするためにcat sweeperを活用しているようです。非常に強い欲望の言葉を持っているものは、眠りの幸福を振り切って目を覚ますことがあります。"わたしは、まだ人間を食べたい！"などのように。言葉を持っていない場合、彼らは幸福を放棄する理由がありません。だから、cat sweeperは、完全なるwild catと、欲望と言葉を持ったものをふるい分ける作用があります。
