For this week's patreon update I am delighted to bring you information regarding Agudner children! 

This week's Patreon update features in-depth information regarding Eltus children life cycles.

Agudner Children:

The average Agudners' lifespan is about 50 to 70 years. Females tend to live longer than males. In undeveloped areas, excluding rulers, Agur lifetimes tend to be short. 

Agudner children are born gray but one can already see some of their defining characteristics such as the shape of their ears or size of their face. Compared to sergals, they grow slowly but surely.  They require communication with their parents for the sake of their mental stability (although not necessarily their birth parents) and do not like changes in members of the herd. Because they need to breastfeed, they tend to become attached to a certain adult. In addition, their personality, abilities, and interests will become more complex in various ways, depending on their childhood experiences.

Immediately after birth: (See above.) Directly following birth, the baby needs to breastfeed. (Artificial milk can be substituted.) Agudners' eyes open later than Sergals'. They can walk on all fours but as tottering is dangerous, the preference is to walk while a parent holds their hoof. Saying "merp" is the way they ask for communication in baby talk. "pooboo" is more frustrated sound, this sound is based sound of Agur language.

Two weeks after birth: they begin to practice standing up on their hooves. Their eyes are open and they generally have a strong desire to monopolize attention. They always like to stay very close to their parents.

Several months after birth: They are walking and running on two legs. In general, they are interested in their hooves, enjoying grabbing objects and exercising by climbing rocks. Compared to Sergals, they use baby talk for a long time but it seems they are looking for "contact" rather than "care". The words used by those around them have a great influence on their values.

One year after birth: (See below.) Their adult hair grows in gradually. They start to develop eyebrows. Their belly and nose hair is thin, giving it a pinkish hue. They become able to spend time away from their parents, and many are interested in digging and building with sand.

Two years after birth: Their gray hair is completely replaced by their hair color. They still need their parents nearby. Prominent characteristics of their personality begin to appear such as enjoying creating or breaking things. There is also an increase in destructive mischief. From this time, they start to try to communicate with the surrounding children and adults but their pronunciation is still immature.

Three to six years after birth: They begin to leave their parents, but still have a strong sense of whose child they are. Like Sergals, Agudner children like to form groups but they may fuss over who wins or loses and some kids start to avoid it. In Goldring, they will enroll in compulsory education. There are many children that may not be good at conversation but are very good at writing. Children who have lived with Sergals are particularly well-studied on morals and rules. (These are deeply connected in Goldring's offical language.) Life in the old Agur civilization was completely different, so it will not be explained here.

Seven to ten years after birth: Although they develop secondary sex characteristics early, compared to Sergals, they tend to develop slower. Their horns begin to grow. In Goldring, there are about three years of occupation selection and training period. They meet various adults every day and search for the job that suits them best. But because Agudners have a strong sense of commitment and specialization, when they become an apprentice, they will form a close relationship with their master/chief, which tends to take time. In "At the Festival", Bakku is about 10 or 11 years old, studying commerce under his uncle.

Twelve years after birth: In Goldring, most have finished developing secondary sex characteristics and are looking for jobs. Those who have already had a child often choose to become staff of the tenement house (den mother) to gain experience.

Fourteen years after birth: They are basically treated as an adult. For professionals, it will take time to reach full adulthood. In order to gain general skills, there are many who take on hobbies that can be done while working.

Agudnersの子どもは、産まれたときは灰色であるが、耳の形や顔の大きさなど、個性のバラエティの片鱗がすでに見える。Sergalsに比べて成長が遅いが、我が強い傾向にある。精神の安定の為に特定の保護者とのコミュニケーションを必要とし、（実の親である必要はない）、群れのメンバーの顔触れが変わることを好まない。授乳を必要とする性質のせいか、特定の大人を独占する傾向がある。また、幼少期の経験によって性格や能力、関心が様々に複雑化する。Sergalに比べて母語（周囲の人の話している言葉）に強い影響を受けるが、発音の訓練に時間がかかるのは同様である。

生後すぐ：上図。母親から直接生まれ、授乳を必要とする（人工ミルクで代用可）。目が開くのはSergalより少し遅い。四足歩行で歩くが、よちよちと危なっかしく、蹄で母親に捕まっている事を好む。プープーという幼児Agur語でのコミュニケ―ションを求める。

生後二週間：蹄の爪を立て、立ち上がる練習を始める。目が開き、一般に独占欲が強く、常に親とべったり一緒にいる事を好む。

生後数か月：二足歩行で歩いたり走ったりする。一般に蹄に関心を持ち、物を掴んだり、岩に登ったりする運動を好む。Sergalに比べて幼児語のコミュニケーションが長く続くが、「世話」を求めているというより「ふれあい」を求めていることがうかがえる。価値観は、この時周囲の者が話しかけてくる言葉に大きく影響される。

生後一年：下図。大人の毛が徐々に生えてくる。眉ができる。腹や鼻は毛が薄く、ピンク色に見える。親と離れて過ごすことができるようになり、多くは砂を掘ったり積み上げたりすることに関心を持つ。

生後二年：完全に灰色の毛が、本来の毛に生え変わる。まだ親を近くに必要とする。顕著な特徴として、工作などモノを作る・壊すことを好み、個性が出始める。破壊系のイタズラが増える事も。この頃から、周囲の子どもや大人と言葉で意思疎通をしようとするが、発音は未熟である。

生後三-六年：親から離れ始めるが、誰の子どもであるという意識をはっきりと持っている。Sergal同様、子ども同士で群れをつくる事を好むが、子ども同士での勝ち負けにこだわるか、逆にそれを回避するようになる。Goldringでは、義務教育にあたる教育を受ける。会話が苦手でも、書き文字は得意な子どもが多い。Sergalsと共に生活した子どもは、特に道徳やルールの学習がよい（Goldring公用語はこれらと深い関連がある）。旧Agur文明においては全く違う人生を歩んだため、ここでは解説しない。

生後七-十年：早いものでは第二次性徴を迎えるが、Sergalに比べてやや遅い傾向にある。角が生え始める。Goldringではおよそ3年間の職業選択＆訓練期間がある。彼らは毎日さまざまな大人と触れ、自分にとって最適な仕事を探すが、Agudnerは自己のこだわりや専門性が強く、弟子入りするなど先生と緊密な関係を作るので、時間がかかる傾向にある。"at the festival"のBakkuはおよそ10-11歳であり、かれの叔父のもとで商業の勉強をしている。

生後十二年：Goldringでは、ほとんどの子どもが第二次性徴を終え、職を見つけている。既に子どもをもっている場合、そのまま長屋の職員（共同母/big mother)として経験を積む選択をする場合も多い。

生後十四年：基本的に、大人として扱われる。専門職の場合、一人前になるにはまだ時間はかかる。一通りのスキルを身に着けているため、仕事をしながら趣味に生きるものも多い。

Agudnersの寿命は、50年から70年くらいです。男性より女性の方が長い傾向にあります。未開の地では、一部の支配者層を除き、Agurの寿命は短い傾向にあります。
