One Piece FULL-LENGTH - Episodes 878 - 881

Bonus episode?! That's right. Since we're starting the Reverie arc, and since it's 12 episodes. Doesn't it just make sense, 12 episodes in one week? It just feels right.

Also, since these episodes have a lot of recap that I end up skipping, I feel like it's only fair for you guys to get bonus episodes to make up for it. (Plus, it means I can watch more One Piece since I'm craving it lately.)

So this week is the week of Reverie, and that means Wano begins next week!

fun fan theory that started these episodes: "Belo Betty is Luffy's mom"

Lots of great facts and info here that will surely leave my head soon enough - but I knew I had seen that milk girl before! Her design looked familiar!

--The thing as impressive as reaching 1.5 Billion is the fact Luffy's bounty tripled in one go for his third time ever which rarely happens to larger bounties. --However "Fifth Emperor" is not official as much as its simply calling him a rival candidate. After all, the title Yon-ko literally has the number 4 in it. The Yonko system lore is vague. The Government recognizes Emperors as rival powers in the political sense but didn't bestow their titles, only bounties. I think Morgans decided to limit it to the 4 strongest pirates with many crews, territories, and influence (so a solo Mihawk wouldn't qualify). The Emperor system seems to have only started a few years after Roger's death and the start of Warlord system, but the hypothetical Emperors before then would have been Whitebeard, Big Mom, Shiki, and Roger. --The Shanks recap finally showed two parts of chapter 1 that the anime left out originally: Luffy stabbing himself and punching the Sea King (the punch being shown in a flashback before, but the stab was first shown in anime here, not counting the specials). --The anime first showed Makino (+baby), Mayor Woopslap, Coby, and Helmeppo's post-timeskip designs in this arc. Makino already appeared in cover stories post-timeskip, and the Navy boys new designs were first allowed to appear early in Film: Z, just like Kuzan. But this is new-Coby's canon debut. --The milk girl is named Moda, she's the farmer who saved Ace two years ago in his cover story! --The Revolutionary captains indeed each maintain their separate armies in their respective blue sea (example: East Army) while Oda explained Ivankov commands the "G Army" in the Grand Line. --Belo Betty's flag, powers, and bare chest are a classical reference and symbol of freedom in this painting of the goddess of liberty. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberty_Leading_the_People --Morley (confirmed in databook as a newkama, trans female) uses the Push-Push Fruit to Earth-bend. Oda revealed that Morley (who is 160 years old) was actually in Impel Down a century ago and used that power to first create the Level 5.5 tunnels and escape. Ivankov specifically mentioned a power-user dug out that level but never knew it was Morley! Shiki is still the first 'documented' escapee. --I thought Sengoku giggling was alone worth an episode. Sakazuki went through the trouble of fighting Kuzan for 10 days just to be stuck behind a desk for 2 years. Also in Japanese fashion, Sengoku stopped dyeing his hair upon retirement. --I think Buggy must be drunk singing.
