IMPORTANT POLL

So. Hello. We're coming into a new stage of this patreon with a change in how things operate. As I mentioned in the weekly story poll, there will be two new stories added to the rotation next week. However, I'm pretty sure everyone is aware of the pattern that has developed recently. What's supposed to be a poll so the stories all get love at some point has kind of become... A rotation of just two stories. Crimson, then Scumbag, then Crimson, then Scumbag, etc, etc. It was only last week that something broke that pattern for once. It has to be disheartening for people who really want to see content for the other stories on the poll but they constantly get outvoted by the most popular.

So. There will be changes. But I'm not going to make them unilaterally. I want to gauge the opinion of you guys since you're the ones who keep this thing running week after week. Yes I know that runs the risk of people just wanting it to stay the same for the sake of their favourites always winning, but I want you guys to have a say all the same.

So here's the concept. The current system is the winner of a poll isn't on the next poll. A week cycle out. What I want to gauge interest in is the idea of it being a two or even three week cycle out. I'd be surprised if three gained any traction but you never know. That means we get more stories moving through the rotation and getting content, but each one would receive content slower.

Then there's the other thing I want to run by you. The idea of an author's choice week. My thinking is the last poll of the month is skipped and I can choose what to work on for that week, and since it would be the last poll of the month, that means there would only be two of these every three months since I also take breaks at that point every three months. So every 12 polls, 2 would be decided by me. Both as, once again, a chance for neglected stories to get some love, but also to give me a hand in keeping up with demand since I can choose a story I'm already prepared to write. You might've noticed one thing got in the way a month ago and I've struggled to meet the deadline since.

So those are the ideas. In summary:

One Week Cycle: What we have now. winner is off the next poll.

Two Week Cycle: Winner is off the next two polls.

Three Week Cycle: Winner is off the next three polls.

Author's Choice: One author choice winner every month or two every three months.

No Author Choice: Piss off, Casey. We pay you, we say what you write.

(I'm just having fun on the last description. I won't be mad if you choose that because it's an entirely fair point.)

You can vote for multiple things of course and I'll be taking careful note of if people vote for multiple cycle options. So if you'd be fine with more than one of those outcomes, feel free to vote for multiple.
