And he has softened a little since then, but not completely. That softness can be seen with asking if Xenovia understood what she was asking for, then immediately giving her commands he thought she would balk at as a means of showing her. But when he told her to strip she said "A'ight, bet." He gave her multiple outs and she passed up every single one.

While I can easily see early Lelouch using a woman's desperation to gain a new asset, this seems a step too far for Lelouch as he has been portrayed in this story. It's not story breaking, but i think we need more of Lelouch's true thought process for this to fit. Not just the myraid of logical excuses he has already come up with. His true motivation for this.
