BWOOMP! BWOOMP!

Laura de Mille, more commonly known as the former supervillainous Madame Rouge, was having a blast bouncing through the open meadows. She had been looking forward to this day in particular, as it was a chance for her to get out and socialize; she was actually on her way to see an old friend, and hit the town as a pair of wild ladies still in their fun-loving prime.

She had formed her body into a ball-like shape, picking up more speed and height as she bounced across the ground with leaps and bounds. She whooped excitedly, experiencing a sense of weightlessness as she arced through the air, twenty, thirty, fifty feet in the air at a time. She didn't have any bones to speak of, and a long career of perpetrating supercrimes with her seemingly limitless shapeshifting powers had made her quite accustomed to performing daring feats. There was no fear, just boundless exhileration.

The wind in her auburn hair flailed behind her as she admired the view of the treetops below her bouncing arc, and the colourful flowers that blossomed in the pleasant summer weather, their colourful petals blending into a rich tapestry. It was such an open clearing, and it was so peaceful and clear, save for the barking from the odd dog, out on a walk with their owners, spooked by the strange person effortlessly flying through the sky and responding with a chorus of barking.

The natural valleys and dirt roads soon gave way to streetlights, pavement, and the outskirts of civilization. It wouldn't be much farther now; she knew her friend Sondra had settled down near the outskirts, just under the shadow of the nearby mountain range. Laura outstretched her arm to catch a sturdy tree branch on her descent, transferring her vertical momentum to a horizontal axis; her lower body split in two once more as she kicked her legs through the air as if leaping from a swing set. She landed on the ground, squarely on her moves, and yipped excitedly as the concussive impact from her landing reverberated up through her wobbly knees and settled  in her core. She slowed down to a jog, steadying her breath as her noodly limbs stiffened into humanesque rigidity once more.

She approached a cozy little home on the outskirts of town. She paused and took a moment to admire the landscaping. There was a garden nearby with an assortment of carefully-tended flowers, along with pots of aromatic spices and herbs. Underpinning the flora was the earthy scent of fresh soil. Laura liked this little space, it felt so natural, so real.

Next to the garden was a cobblestone walkway leading up to a garage and, of course, the front door. Laura paced over and rang the doorbell.

"Comingggg!" Laura heard a voice from within calling out, and the pitter-patter of footsteps. Laura thought the voice was familiar...

The door opened, revealing... oddly enough, an identical copy of Laura herself. They gawked at once another, each of them performing a double take.

"Me??" They both uttered in unison. They swayed from side to side. Laura waved her hips from side to side, only to find the mirror copy of herself mimicking her movements. They were even wearing the same summer dress...

"...Mmhm." Laura smirked. "So, have you had your fill of fun yet, Sondra?"

"Ha!" The copy of Laura laughed, her jaw distending to exaggerate her expression. In a moment, the mirrored disguise was dropped. Laura folded her arms and watched as, right before her eyes, the woman's figure shimmered, colour fading to an earthy brown. Her previously peach-hued skin tones gave way to a glossy sheen that initially reminded Laura of dark chocolate. But the prevailing earthy aromas arising once more indicated mud.

The woman shapeshifted rapidly to oozing mud, her form moulded as if by the hands of a skilled artisan to accentuate her exquisite feminine features.

"Sondra Fuller." Laura smiled, quietly admiring Sondra's features.  "It's been far too long~"

"Laura de Mille!" Sondra beamed. "The pleasure's all mine!~"

The two ladies shared a breezy laugh, the two shapeshifters relaxing in one another's company. While Laura had previously headlined as the nefarious shapeshiftress Madame Rouge, Sondra had spent a long time as Lady Clayface, the only female in a gaggle of similarly muddy malefactors. They weren't terribly different in their skill sets, with seemingly limitless potential for shapeshifting, as Sondra had demonstrated.

Laura paused to admire the careful detail in Sondra's current appearance. Though she was entirely composed of living mud, oozing down her curves and sinking back into herself, she didn't appear to be naked. Actually, the exterior of her body had textures and details suggesting clothing, like a pair of jeans and a croptrop that revealed Sondra's midriff... all also formed of mud, giving Sondra the appearance of a chocolate statue.

"Some weather we're having, hm?" Sondra morphed her hand into a fan and breezed herself off. "I felt like I was going to bake out there."

"There's hardly a cloud in the sky." Laura let herself in, taking care not to step in the puddle of liquid mud settling around Sondra's angles. She took a moment to admire the hand-made curios hanging on the walls and all around the house; her attention turned to a dried potpourri in the salon, which filled the room with citrusy, floral scents. "You have such an enchanting home though, Sondra, I must say."

"Oh, I'm a bit of a naturalist." Sondra paced over, her body plopping as her body shifted, air pockets developing and plopping out of her liquid form. "I'd rather make my accoutrements by hand. And I even have an herb garden that supplies me with components for homemade tea; would you care for a spot before our excursion?"

"Ah, I don't mean to impose." Laura chuckled. "I'm still working through the last sample you sent me off with; it's so hard to find free time to sit down for a cup."

Fweeeeeeeeee! From the kitchen, the whistle of the tea kettle rang out; Sondra twisted her whole body in the direction of the kettle.

"Ooh! Water's ready!" She stretched her arm through a doorway deeper into the house and out of sight. Laura tilted her head to the side as she heard the faint sounds of china clattering, water pouring, and the click of spoons stirring up the water... all out of Sondra's eyesight!

And only a few moments later, Sondra would present a tray with two piping hot cups of Earl Grey tea, with all the usual fixings... and even an assortment of sweets! She set the tray down, her ropey arm whipping around the table to pull out a chair for Laura.

"Oh, thank you." Laura nodded, and lowered herself. "I'm impressed, Sondra. You really know your way around the house. Reaching into other parts of the house..."

"It's a curse, really." Sondra smirked. "I'm cooped up in this damn house so much with all of the feminine chores, I get a little stir-crazy. Is it the same for you?"

"Ha! Quite." Laura grinned mirthfully. "Not every day we get a girl's day out like this. All the more reason to wrap up our business here and hit the trail, mm?"

"I'll drink to that! Cheers!" Sondra raised her teacup in a toast, and the two swigged their cups of piping hot tea. Having been freshly served, it was certainly hot enough to scald the mouth of a human, but for these shapeshifters, it could only cause their insides to melt... which was an exquisite feeling, all things said.

"Aaaaaahhh..." Laura swooned, lowering her cup. "You take your tea black too, Sondra?"

"Only when I'm in a hurry." Sondra replied. "Shall we go? There's a place I've been dying to show you."

"Hmhmhm... lead the way." Laura noted the way that Sondra was enthusiastically bouncing on her heels, and got her stretches in to limber up, reaching for the ceiling.

The two ladies paced out the front door; Sondra made sure to lock up, before turning towards the mountain range that her modest home stood in the shadow of. Sondra coiled her legs into a spring, before leaping through the air in a massive arc! Laura watched her graceful arc, all the way down to her return to earth, where she seemingly disappeared into the earth, leaving behind only a mud puddle. The subtle splash of mud reminded her of an Olympic diver.

As a stream of ooze arced from the puddle and continued to crash further and further away, Laura remembered herself, and that she was being rapidly left behind. Warping her lower body into a bouncy ball once more, Laura hurried to keep pace with Sondra. She'd really have to get some shapeshifting pointers from the former Lady Clayface, once she caught up.

---

The mountain would've been a difficult climb for any typical mountaineer, but the two shapeshifters made it their playground, eager to make leap after leap up the side of the steep sheer cliffs. They outstretched their ropey limbs to loop around jutting rocks and spring upwards... and when there was no spot to grab, the girls took it slow, formed their extremities into suction cups, and clambered along the sides. Both of them traded mishaps where they would slip free and splatter somewhere below, in accidents that would surely smash apart a normal human... but for these superpowered ladies, they had a good laugh about it, sprung back to life, and hurried up the mountain once more.

"Almost there... ah, here we are." Sondra reformed herself, approaching what appeared to be a solid wall of stone. At least, it certainly seemed that way to Laura. She approached, examining it closely.

"What's this?" Laura turned her head from side to side. "I don't see anything special... just looks like ordinary rock."

"That's because it is." Sondra nodded. "But it's cracked, don't you see?"

"...Oh, so it is. So you're suggesting we get in this way?" Laura tilted her head. "It must be very dark inside, though..."

"You'd think that, wouldn't you?" Sondra's red eyes lit up like shining rubies. "But there's actually... oh, nevermind, won't spoil the surprise, just come on!"

Sondra rapidly liquified, splattering against the rock wall. She slurped through the narrow cracks, appearing to Laura as if she was disappearing out of thin air. Laura pressed her hand against the stone; odd, the liquid mud that comprised Sondra's form didn't leave so much as a speckle.

Laura took a deep breath she didn't know she was holding, and pushed forward. She could feel the tension of her whole body compressing to the width of a needle, pressing into the narrow opening. She operated on feeling, disappearing into darkness. She followed the slurping sounds of Sondra's molten body leading the way. As she pressed her way through the fissures in the rock, which splintered and forked like a miniature cave system, she stretched tendrils through all sorts of forks in the road, feeling for the dead ends and pushing through, even further.

Finally, there was a pop, a palpable sense of relief from the intense pressure Laura's body was subjected to. She trickled to the ground, piling up like a plate of spaghetti, before rapidly popping back into shape. She felt herself all over, massaging her body to smooth out the creases from being stretched out so thoroughly.

"What a treacherous journey that was..." Laura muttered. "I hope you can lead us back to civilization when this is all... oh!"

Laura didn't think it strange at the time that, as she was smooshing her body's curves into shape, she could make out a faint glow in her peripheral view; she wasn't prepared for the dazzling sight of dozens, maybe hundreds of glowing crystals. They were everywhere, jutting out from the cave's ceilings and floors like alien life forms. And there were so many iridescent colours! It was truly marvelous!

"Snazzy place, isn't it?" Sondra placed her hands on her hips. "I haven't thought of a name for it yet. I reckon it went undiscovered aaaaall these years."

"If only I could take home a souvenir..." Laura muttered, her eyes wandering all over the place. "Perhaps you could carve out a more, um, navigable passage through."

"And clear the way for gaudy tourists? Psht, perish the thought, Laura." Sondra guffawed, her bellowing laugh echoing around the stone walls. "Do you see anything you like? We can bring it to my workshop back at home; I'll make you a keepsake from it!"

"A keepsake? Well..." Laura's eyes wandered around the cave interior. There were so many different colours of crystals; she was particularly enamoured by a ruby-red crystal protruding from the ceiling; she gingerly stretched her arm upwards some fifteen feet, and gingerly plucked it free, as if pulling a weed. "Why not this one?"

"Excellent choice! It suits you, I think." Sondra nodded. "There's oooooooooone more place I'd like to show you..."

---

Sondra guided Laura out of the cave network through a back entrance and continued to guide her up the mountain. Just shy of the peak, they encountered some steamy hot springs. Neither of the ladies needed to worry about clothing, so they simply dismissed their clothes and descended into the cloudy water.

"Aaaaah..." Sondra relaxed, her muddy form liquidating and mixing with the hot water. The hot springs quickly became a bubbling mud bath. Laura didn't object to this; it was an opportunity to rejuvenate her skin, after all.

"My, what a view..." Laura turned her head to view the rolling plains and landscapes below; she could actually make out Sondra's house from here. "It's quite romantic. I'm surprise nobody's built a hotel up here."

"Ohhhh, I might have something to do with that..." Sondra chuckled.

"Mm? Sondra?" Laura blinked in confusion... after some thought, she furrowed her eyebrows. "What'd you do...?"

"Weeeeeell..." Sondra tapped her chin. "If you're going to build a resort on a mountain, you'd send a survey team to assess the lay of the land. And if those surveyors were to run into a fierce, territorial, mud-covered bear, weeeeeeell..."

"Oh, you're terrible, dear!" Laura cackled, extending her arm to gently shove the muddy mistress with a clenched fist, one which left an imprint on her soft form.

"I'm reformed, though! I'm actually a hero, if you really think about it." Sondra puffed her chest out. "I'm a protector of the environment, after all; this place is much more serene without tourists clambering about, don't you agree?"

"Again with the tourists..." Laura scoffed, shaking her head.

"Ohhhh don't take that tone with me." Sondra folded her arms. "You can't tell me Miss Madame Rouge never got up to any trouble after dropping the cape."

"I didn't wear a cape..." Laura murmured, sliding a little deeper into the mud bath. "...I... suppose you have a point. I've gotten into a bit of trouble at home too."

"Oh? What sort of trouble?" Sondra tilted her head.

"Well, when I was cleaning the kitchen, I knocked over my husband's favourite pint glass." Laura chuckled. "And instead of admitting it, I, uh, morphed into a chair to avoid him.

"...that's it? Ohhhhhhh my goooood ahaha!~" Sondra cackled uproariously, slapping a rock behind her shoulder "When did you become such a dork, Laura!?"

"Sh-shut up!" Laura objected, though she couldn't stop herself from laughing along with Sondra.

"You don't gotta be so bashful! It's just us two, alone, at the top of a mountain!" Sondra leaned closer. "That can't be the worst thing you got up to."

"I'm a mother now, with a husband and daughter." Laura sighed. "It's the same as you. I'm cooped up indoors too much to ever really cut loose... this is the most excitement I've seen in a while."

Laura leaned back, tilting her head towards the sky, reminiscing.

"I love Gemini, truly. And I know you care for your dear Lotus too." Laura glanced at Sondra. "But when you have a kid, you have to make some lifestyle changes. Ohhh, the exciting shenanigans Niles and I would get up to..."

Laura paused, her mind drifting to an old memory. Her cheeks momentarily flushed scarlet; this wasn't lost on Sondra, who leaned forward expectantly, to hear more of the gossip. Laura relented, reciprocating her anticipatory grin.

"When I confided my powers to my husband, he was actually rather considerate of the whole situation. Perhaps a little too considerate... he didn't want to arouse any self-conscious feelings in me, so he was rather cautious in approaching me, erm, carnally." Laura recalled. "His words spoke of his reluctance, but I saw it in his eyes that he was rather taken by my form. It was my shiny skin, he later admitted."

Laura chuckled, hugging her chest. "In the end, it was me who broke the ice, offering to let him... indulge some of his curiosities, and massage my chest. And I myself rather needed it, I was... pent up, in many regards."

"Ohhh...?" Sondra's grin widened.

"Oh, but it was a whole fiasco, it was." Laura shook her head. "The fault lies with me; Nigel was ever the gentleman, but I was rather sensitive in my buxom, and eager to excite him, so I conspired to hit him with a surprise."

Boingoing! All of a sudden, her curvy chest inflated its proportions, doubling, tripling... dectubling in size! Each breast was like a beachball fighting for space on her chest, though the mud bath coated her nipples and protected her modesty. Sondra flinched, raising her arms in front of her to prevent the curvature of Laura's breasts from flattening her.

"Oh!" Sondra yelped. "That's certainly a party trick!"

"Yes, but I put too much oomph into it, Sondra. And that was the problem..." Laura stirred, wrapping her arms around her chest and squeezing to force them to deflate. "I launched Nigel right into the ceiling, and then he collapsed on the floor. We had to put our special night on hold and rush him to the ER. The doctor said he broke a few ribs; we had to make up some excuse about reshingling the roof..."

"Ohhhhhhhhh my gosh!" Sondra cackled. causing the mudbath to ripple and stir. "You are definitely not beating the allegations of being a humongous dork!"

"It was our first time!" Laura exclaimed. "We got better over time... it's been a while since we had a night out like that again, though."

"Listen, when we get home, I'll get you the number of my favourite babysitter. She's pricy, but you have to pay a premium for a superpowered specialist." Sondra nodded. "Anything to get you out of that stuff home and out causing trouble again!"

"Mm... I swore off evil enterprises, but that doesn't mean I can't have a little fun..." Laura considered the idea, chuckling to herself.

Alone to their own devices, the two malleable women continued to soak in each other's company, and enjoy the views from atop the mountain.
