It wouldn't be for another few days until the next season of the Transformation League kicked off. It was a long-running reality show, known for its high-octane, perilous obstacle courses. But in a world where everyone was a practically indestructible shapeshifter of varying degrees of solidity, a little gratuitous cartoon violence wouldn't hurt anyone.
Celes wasn't a TFL athlete by any stretch, but she'd become quite enamoured with the spectacle of it all. She wanted to see the opening game of the regular season for herself, between the Icicles, perennial title contenders, and the Dust Bunnies, a quirky band of rookie upstarts in their sophomore year. So she travelled to where the big game was scheduled to take place... actually, she flew there.
The purple slime woman glided through the skies, her long streaks of purple hair extending to form wings that could help her soar. She gasped as she flew over the competition grounds, housing the various standard modules they used to customize their obstacle course gauntlets.
"This must be where they film the games. Some of those little buildings must be the climate chambers, and... ah! The anvil clearing! The stormfront windmill! Oh, the hall of guillotines!!" She squealed, delighting at some of the major setpieces that were fan favourites.
She was so enamoured that she hadn't realized the bevy of swinging guillotines hurtling in her path until it was already too late to swerve out of the way. Those weren't moving a second ago!
She yelped in surprise as, moments later, she flew into the waiting arms of an oversized taffy stretcher. Her torso stretched and looped around one winch, with the rest of her body stretching beneath her to get scooped up by another winch. . She raised her head, wondering what she had flown into.
”…O-oh, wow, it’s the Taft-a-lot Taffy Stretcher!” She mused, delighted that she had recognized a thing she’d seen. “Geez, I must be pretty hiiiIIIIIIIIIEEEEE!!”
Celes shrieked as something pressed behind her. She turned her head to witness a third winch pressing between her stretched out mass. The arms were slowly moving, but to her horror, they were quickly accelerating.
“Ah, no, nononono- EEP!”
Her voice muffled, disappearing under a fold of her slimy skin. Exposed to air, her body was being rapidly coiled against itself in repeated stretching loops, her humanoid form stretching beyond recognition. She panted excitedly as g-forces pressed against her body, her viscous body heating up with kinetic energy.
“Hey, who’s that? Is that a new athlete?”
”Zoe, I thought we had the course to ourselves…”
Celes heard some familiar voices in the background, but she was rather caught up in the experience. Terror had given way to excited exhilaration, her cackling screams muffled under folds of glossy slime.
“Hey, they don’t got a spotter! Scarlett, shut ‘er down, wouldja?”
”Oh jeez! Got it!”
A few moments later, the taffy stretcher would slow to a crawl, and then to a halt. The mechanism tilted downwards; Celes chuckled groggily as her formless mass slid from the arms and plopped into a pile.
Two ladies approached Celes. Scarlett, a redhead in sporty short-shorts and a blue, form-fitting tee, and Zoe, with her black hair tied back in a long ponytail. She bounced on the soles of her sneakers as she studied Celes' vivid purple colouring and the swirls of inky patterns flowing across her skin.
"Got a little twisted up, huh?" Zoe kneeled down. "Who's your teammate? They left you out to dry up there."
"...Hah... team...?" Celes' woozy expression floated to the top of her mass, her facial features seeming floating apart slowly in all directions.
"Y'know... your TFL team." Scarlett frowned—this chick got messed up bad. "Like... we're the Dust Bunnies, so-"
"THE DUST BUNNIES!?" Celes sobered up in a hurry, rapidly reforming in front of them. Her eyes lit up in a hurry as she excitedly bounced up and down, dollops of purple slime splashing from her sides. "Waitwaitwait, you, you're the Zoe Reyes??"
Zoe blinked in surprise. She smiled radiantly, brushing back her hair as if getting ready for a photo shoot. "Heheh, I'm a household name~"
"I'll say! That one episode that had you perform a dance routine, while staying airborne along blasts of air from turbines below... it was poetry in motion! I feel blessed to have seen it!" Celes clutched her hands to her chest.
"Aha, then you heard of me too, right?" Scarlett stepped forward, sticking her chest forward proudly.
"Ah! And you're Scarlett Ayers!" Celes gasped. "Oooh, I couldn't forget you! That one obstacle race you did was inspiring!"
"Heh, yeah!" Scarlett laughed. "Er, which one?"
"The one where you got hit by everything!" Celes nodded. "You got your legs cut into spaghetti, only to tumble into a blender, and splattered by an anvil, and every time you came back for more!"
"O-oh." Scarlett blinked. She rubbed the back of her neck. "That uh... wasn't my finest hour, heheh.
"Sure it was!" Zoe cut in with a smirk! "It made for an immaculate highlight reel!" Scarlett snorted at Zoe's interjection, stirring as a rosey blush came to her cheeks... she got a little gooier as she melted slightly.
"Whenever I'm having a bad day, I remember how you fought through your bad luck, and I feel heaps better." Celes nodded. She extended her hand to Scarlett. "I'm Celes Pettigrew! I'm, uh, not a TFL athlete... just a fan! Heheh..."
"Oh! It's, um, nice to meet you!" Scarlett politely took Celes' hand...
The two girls would realize that their compositions were in a constant state of melting and reforming, so upon contact, they could feel one another's essence flow into one another. Both of them blinked as a strange connection formed. They didn't fully understand what was going on; each of them felt an alien presence probing the outskirts of their mind. They felt increasingly bashful, and their emotions resonated, causing the both of them to be more embarrassed.
Zoe watched with interest, eying the handshake between the girls. With both girls flashing odd, thousand-yard stares, Zoe noticed how the gaps between their fingers were ebbing away, their wrists sinking into each other's flesh. Zoe stepped forward and, with a firm tug, separated the two. The two blinked, as if waking up from some trance, mumbling to themselves.
"I got an idea!~" Zoe smirked cheekily. "We should prolly spirit Celes off the course. Non-athletes aren't allowed on the grounds, soooo..."
"O-oh, I'm sorry." Celes frowned. "I just... I sorta just dropped in, I didn't mean-"
"No harm, no foul!" Zoe stretched her arm to pat her on the shoulder. "Scarlett and I are just about done our rounds, and we were gonna hit the hot tub back at Dusty HQ, wind down after our exercises! Why don't you join us?"
"A hot tub??" Celes' cheeks darkened. "With two celebrities? Um..."
Celes paused for a moment to consider. She might never get this sort of opportunity to hang out with celebrities again. She smiled.
"Y-yes! Of course!" Celes nodded.

The dorm wasn't too far from the training grounds, and Celes found herself scooped up by two attractive women. The purple slime girl lingered in front of the changing room mirror, grimacing at her chubby appearance. She'd become quite proficient at the art of weaving fabric and clothing from her own slime, and she had thrown together a two piece polka dot bikini, but they did little to hide the chubby curves that she was self-conscious about.
"Hey, Celes!" Zoe barged into the changing room. "Hot tub's ready! You shouldn't keep Scarlett waiting~"
Celes turned her head. She was too preoccupied to pick up on Zoe's mentioning of Scarlett.
"O-oh, hi." Celes hugged her chest. "I'll be there in a bit, just... building up my nerves a bit, heh."
"Mm? What's the matter?" Zoe tilted her head. "You were all too ready to jump in half an hour ago..."
"W-well, um... it's just..." Celes sighed. "I'm not sure if I'm... worthy... to be in the same tub as two drop-dead gorgeous supermodels. I mean... look at me."
Celes' arms fell to her sides. Zoe's eyebrow perked up in curiosity, picking up on Celes' mood.
"Mm, I dunno. The way I see it, your skin looks gorgeous. I think the time on that taffy stretcher did you a lot of good." Zoe paced over and pinched Celes' cheek, stretching it wide. "See? Look at that glossy shimmer!~"
"I-I shee it!" Celes chuckled. Zoe let go, allowing Celes' lip to smack back against her face. "You don't think I'm too fat or anything?"
"You pull off the look! Like, look at me!" Zoe's skin bubbled up, her cellulite multiplying to add extra curves in all the right places, along her thighs and hips and chest. She struck a pose, pursing her lips. "You gotta admit this looks good!~"
"..." Celes gawked for a spell. She found herself nodding along enthusiastically, before turning to the mirror. She reappraised herself, bouncing on her heels.
"...Y-you're right. I should... be more positive about my body image." Celes nodded.
"There ya go!" Zoe beamed. "Now go see Scarlett! You two are gonna be perfect together!~"
"... Uh... Sure!" Celes wasn't sure what Zoe meant by that. "Thanks for the pep talk!" She hurried out of the changing room and out onto the back deck. Sure enough, Scarlett was already luxuriating, though she seemed deep in concentration.
Celes had the instinct to say hello, but it seemed that Scarlett was in the middle of something. There was a look of concentration on her face. Celes poked the surface of the water with her toe, before sliding in. The jacuzzi bubbles were breaking up the surface tension enough for Celes to slip in.
Celes caused a ripple that Scarlett felt. It was enough for her to glance up and towards Celes.
"Oh! Celes, hey!" Scarlett opened one eye, smiling. "Was wondering when you'd get here."
"Hey! Um, I didn't mean to distract you." Celes murmured.
"Just doing some mental training. I'm prone to melting, so I need to focus on staying solid." Scarlett shrugged. "Even at room temperature I'm prone to oozing a little if I'm not focused. The TLF loves its climate-controlled challenge rooms..."
"It's the same for me." Celes groaned. "It's exhausting... but at least I don't have to perform on a nation-wide broadcast..."
"I like it!" Scarlett smiled. "Just gives me a sense that I'm competing for something bigger than just myself."
Scarlett leaned back. "But I guess I need a break. Long day today."
She exhaled a deep sigh, relaxing all at once. Celes stared for a spell as Scarlett's form sank deeper into the water, the clear, chlorinated water mixing with her liquid form to form a peachy, paint-like quality. Celes smiled, and let go as well; her side of the pool was being rapidly consumed by currents of purple slime.
The pools of their slime should've spread evenly across the pool, but, oddly, it did not; the tendrils of ooze twisted towards each other, eager to meet in the middle. A semi-solid Scarlett blinked as some part of her touched Celes.
"Huh? What is..." Scarlett turned her head. "O-ohh...~"
"I don't know what this... feeling is...?" Celes felt her body scootch along on its own, pulled towards Scarlett until their shoulders met.
"H-hey, that tickles!~" Scarlett chuckled, her shoulders bouncing as viscous ooze splattered to the pool in droplets.
"Oh no, your face is melting too." Celes cooed, leaning over to Scarlett. "Let me just... mould it back into shape."
Celes reached out with fingers that seemed to stretch and bend in all manner of directions. She wished to stop Scarlett's chin from sagging, but her fingers sank into her flesh. The two women turned to each other, their breasts pressing against one another. They squeaked in unison as the space between them ebbed away, their bodies being sucked towards one another.
"Mm... so forward~" Scarlett pursed her lips.
"Y-you're the one coming onto me..." Celes chuckled. She limply tried to pull herself away, but she felt every inch of her being pulled deeper into Scarlett. It wasn't long until their foreheads pressed together.
A mental connection was formed between the two of them. Neither seemed especially alarmed as their heads pressed deeper into each other, their lips enveloping one another.
This is your first time, isn't it?
Yes... do you do this often?
Never this quickly...
Thoughts bounced between their heads at such a rate that it became increasingly difficult to discern who was Scarlett and who was Celes. Tendrils of slime coiled around each other, pink, red, purple, and twisted together. The beginning of one thought ended with another, as their increasingly mitten-like hands grasped possessively at each other.
They closed their eyes as they collapsed into each other's forms, reduced to a swirling, blending vat of ooze. It was then that Zoe checked in on the two of them.
"Sheesh, I thought they'd play coy a little big longer before making a mess of the hot-tub. Scarlett's always up for a new girl to be part of her life..." Zoe reached into her cleavage for an oversized spoon, and stirred the remnants of the two girls together.
She worked quickly until the inky black streaks began to blend together into a light purple consistency. She would lift the spoon, spilling the contents into a pile, and continue, coaxing the ooze into a single form. After some prodding, the ooze shifted on its own, bubbling and expanding into a single mass. It burbled as it twisted around, bloating into a humanoid shape.
A mess of red hair sprouted from the top, tinged with purple highlights. Her shapely curves followed, giving her a luxurious hour-glass appearance... and she must've grown at least a foot taller, compared to the two women prior. She leaned back and exhaled, her manicured fingernails squeezing against the tub's edge.
"So is it Scarles, or Cellette?" Zoe smirked.
"Mmmmm... Cellette sounds cuter~" She stretched her arms above her head, an elastic creaking punctuating her movement. "Feels great... my melty body's just clinging to my better half, so I'm not oozing everywhere."
"Not sure we can get away with taking you to a competition though." Zoe tilted her head. "Not without getting an all new license."
"Maybe not... y'sure you don't wanna get in this?" Cellette winked at Zoe.
"You two look like you're having enough fun without me." Zoe snickered. "Don't let me third-wheel your little get-together."
"How about third-float instead?"
Cellette lashed out an arm and plucked Zoe into the air. Suspending her above the pool, she stretched her wide and flat, pinning her arms and legs together. She billowed Zoe's flattened form, and then brought their lips together. What started as a tender kiss turned to a puff of air, followed by another.
Within a few breathfuls, Zoe was fashioned into a floating bed. Cellette bounced up, revealing her luscious, glossy curves. She massaged herself as she reclined on Zoe's floating form.
"Mm... I have half a mind to stay like this forever..." Cellette swooned. "But the other half would like to continue to perform... maybe just the night~"
"Don't have too much fun." Zoe chided, largely immobilized. "We got a competition tomorrow."
"Yeah, yeah..." Cellette leaned back and floated along the surface, drumming her fingers along Zoe's squeaky backside.
