Opening with bad Gun-Fu, sprinkle in copious amount of bad acting, and down it all with some bad CGI, this movie has it all. However, believe it or not, it's actually pretty difficult to showcase how bad the film actually is.
A part of the problem is the film isn't strikingly high budget. It is, but it looks way cheaper than it should. As a result, it just looks like I'm trashing a straight-to-video B movie, when it was a bona fide blockbuster.
It's also just hard to explain why it is bad, because nothing is self explanatory. It's difficult to make a joke when the set-up has to be a full 2 minute long explanation of the plot and 2 more minutes of cultural context talk. I did my best, and I hope it's an enjoyable watch.

This is going to sound like the weirdest mental association ever, but the "we're casting idols and models" thing puts me in mind of the MST3K "Why Study Industrial Arts" short: "We need actors people who can read. Lines. And interact with others."
