The Moment Before The Chase
Added 2022-01-06 16:45:01 +0000 UTCAngie had been scouting with her friend. It was degrading, but the crumbs on Chorus' floor were the main source of food for these two. They'd been shrunk, played with, and forgotten. What had it been, a week at this point? It was hard to tell.
Close to the foot of the bed was a crumbled pile of crackers. They'd clearly been trod upon many times, but at least it would make them easier to carry. But, they were also right in eye line of Taren who was visiting. Chorus was usually busy with her own concerns. Her friend however, would probably spot them immediately.
It was too much of a haul. Basically an arm full of food each. Angie's stomach growled as she looked towards the pile of snack food. She took slow steps towards the pile, her companion staying back and covering her face in fear.
"Well, hello there!" came a haunting voice from overhead. Turning around, Angie saw Taren looking squarely down towards her. A moment later, Chorus popped up from the other side of the bed. The chase hadn't even begun yet, and Angie was already caught.
