Hello blessed contributors of the project, time for another update since there is so much going on all the time.
Mario Kart DX 1.18 server emulator is nearing it's completion, this means full saving and loading of profile data including new cups. This was a lot of work, since we don't have legit package captures from the official servers. It is ultra tedious work and requires master level reverse engineering skills to figure out what to return to the game.
Thanks to patrons we purchased Lethal Enforcers 3 HDD from Japan to work on that game, sadly it was mislabeled Action Deka HDD. This however was not too bad, since it's a version not yet dumped.
Action Deka support will be released VERY SOON, supporting public dump and the new dump as well if anyone has that self dumped.
Thanks to patrons we ordered Sword Art Online PCB from Japan and the PCB is currently under investigation, the system is Namco BNA1 and it has high level security. It is possible to completely suicide the board if mistakes are made, status when it is dumped is currently unknown.
amNetwork library for Ring system games is also now done, this was quite a task and we worked on it for probably total of all time 100+ man hours to finish it. For example Sega Sonic All-Stars Racing now boots and network works without any sort of hacks that were present before. We will be porting it to other Ring games soon.
amJvs emulator is now also pretty advanced and most Nu/Ring games work with it, it is not yet however ready for deployment and is gonna take some more time to finish stable solution. This was one of the biggest things we worked on last month, without it Wonderland Wars would not identify JVS I/O at all. The source code is now over 1200 lines, which is quite crazy.
Furthermore Lindbergh amJvs support was broken with NU/Ring updates, but will be back ported very soon to allow Outrun 2 SP DLX dual wheel play.
We also wrote amJvs Passtrough hooks, which makes it possible for us to log all the obscure amLib JVS devices that we might come across in the future.
Wonderland Wars is under heavy development, we finally have it booting almost to game, this would not be possible without your contributions. As we ordered the cabinet from Japan to emulate all exotic devices it has.
Currently we are working on Led Board emulator for that is required for it to boot successfully, this helps with other ALLS / NU games that have led board too.
Thanks again to all contributors who make ordering hardware over seas possible.
We also have Fate Grand Order cabinet thanks to patrons, as we ordered that already. This has many complicated devices and will be worked on after Wonderland Wars.
The problem is many times that cabinet alone is not enough as they mostly have keychips removed and games do not boot at all. We many times need to root the PCB (very difficult) and then do some magic (Emulate Keychip and more) to get games running before logging the traffic of the devices.
Golden Tee / Power Putt games are currently stuck as they use very old Postgres SQL and windows version does not exist. Basically they have SQL server running inside the cabinet which then saves lot of data from the game itself. We are looking to make a solution that does not require running dedicated SQL server but a flatfile one. Status when this will happen is currently unknown.
Deal or No Deal Deluxe is also heavily been worked on, we still have issue with elfloader 2.0 where the women are not visible at all. Status when this game is completely playable is still unknown.
SEGA APM3 server emulator now also fully works on Pengo including compression and encryption. We are still porting it to other games, but this is gonna take some time. In our plans we also want to emulate the link play which would make it quite nice to play. This would include Virtua Fighter 5 esports, Dead or Alive 6 versus and more. It's like real arcade experience at home, play with friends and save your progress.
Currently we are considering ordering KanColle cabinet from overseas as well as some other exotic cabinets to emulate more problematic games.
Remember ordering cabinets and devices from overseas is EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE, empty 20 feet container costs 3500-4000 USD and 40 feet container 5200-6000 USD. So your contributions are extremely important. There on top you add cabinet prices, for example Gundam EXVS2 cabinet set costs 6200-10000 USD depending of market situation. So ordering Gundam alone would cost 10,000-14,000 USD + import taxes + VAT (+24%) and transport inside country. Totaling around 18,000 USD for a single shipment.
