The Tavern at Death's Door

Happy Hollow's Eve Everyone! I would be remise if I didn't celebrate such a spooky month with an equally spooky session. Perhaps a tad different from my previous posts, this is a modular Tavern designed to be dropped into any existing campaign! What exactly did I have in mind? Well read on to find out!

Death is a part of D&D, but it doesn’t always have to be the end. When a player inevitably dies, consider giving them an opportunity to come back, to fight for their life. Especially early in the game when hit points are few and the ability to revive is rare, this can be your players one saving grace.

Thanks to Eldermancy, the creative minds behind The Seekers Guide to Twisted Taverns this couldn't be easier. The Tavern at Death’s Door serves as a second chance for your players, especially if they’ve suffered a “Total Party Kill.” Player Characters of any level can visit here, as there’s no threat of dying. In this coffin-shaped structure they can share their stories with the other patrons, play games, conduct mundane tasks and settle in for what might be a long time. They can challenge Death to a game, and if they are able to beat it, they’ll be able to return to their mortal bodies.
