Have you ever wondered what it would be like having Rick as your Dungeon Master? Well neither did I, until I read D&D vs Rick and Morty! It's wacky, crazy, unexpected, and the perfect opportunity if you just want to get your friends together and screw around in a dungeon!
Part 1 will have your players engage in senseless violence, solve puzzles, make allies, question morality, dodge traps, lose their butts...yes, it's that kind of adventure and maybe even gain the powers of the Lycanthropickle!!! Will they survive...probably not, but that's ok, death is rather flexible!
I first planned on prepping this because it had some votes in a past poll, Rick and Morty is fairly popular, and I want my catalogue of prep to have as much variety as possible. I didn't except much of it, but then I started to read through and I couldn't stop laughing, it has the most random of encounters and will put your players through absolutely wild situations. This is all on top of it being more than just a one-shot and taking your players from levels 1-3!
This Adventure has quite a lot to it and should take a minimum of 2-3 sessions to complete. Perhaps even more! I've decided for this Adventure, to release a session a week. Advent's Amazing Advice has been growing really well lately and I want to be sure to have a wide selection for everyone here and I don't want anyone to feel like we're stuck on any one thing for too long! If we continue at this rate, I can see myself being able to spend more time writing up and prepping even more sessions a month!
One thing I will say about this Adventure is that it's probably best to run this for players who you've already DM'd for or are really into Rick and Morty. It's an interesting style, to say the least and it's important for your players to know that you're running this as though your Rick! If you've run some of the other adventurers I've prepped and don't want this to be as Rick and Morty themed consider using Anton Spark instead, he fits quite well as a replacement!
Good Luck and May the Ricks Be Ever In Your Favor!
