[Poll] What One-Shot Should I Prep Next?
Added 2023-08-04 19:39:43 +0000 UTC
You all did it again! I don't know how, but you did; in just under 2 months we reached the next milestone and you know what that means! An additional One-Shot for the month that you all get to vote on!
That's not all, but August 8th is the 1 year anniversary of Advent's Amazing Advice! I can't believe a full year is already about to pass, I've been absolutely blown away by all your support! I can't wait to see what the next year will bring!
As a thank you for a year full of support, I'm going to do my best to try to release a session a week this month along with what you all vote on here! It certainly won't be easy, but you deserve the best! This works out quite well for releasing the prep for Curse of Strahd. I've been hard at work reworking Death House, using Curse of Strahd Reloaded, and bridging the gap to The Village of Barovia. With this release schedule, you'll all be able to enjoy a Revamped Death House in its entirety along with 2 other One-Shots!
Even more exciting things are to come this month; stay tuned for August 8th when the official banner of Advent's Amazing Advice is revealed along with a brand new way for everyone to unlock past prep!
Now onto the One-shots:

- This level 3-4 One-Shot will have your players approached by Tristan Harpell, an entitled young mage and heir to a suite of rooms in Ivy Mansion, the ancestral home of the Harpell wizard dynasty. His inheritance is “infested” with the wacky experiments of his dead great-uncle, Siegfried Harpell, and Tristan needs the party to clean things up. Your players will have many wild and bizarre encounters while digging through Siegfried's derelict magical concoctions and along the way they might even discover the astonishing truth behind Siegfried's disappearance!
- This is a level 5-7 Asian pirate-themed One-Shot. Buried decades ago, the great treasure of the notorious Captain Jadescale is waiting at the Mistcliff. Though the exact location of the treasure is unknown, it’s said that the owner of the Shore of Dreams has clues about the location, although nothing is ever that straightforward when it comes to treasure. Can your players unearth the secrets of the treasure of Captain Jadescale or will they be undone by its mystery?
- This level 8 adventure is a classic, one that has been talked about for years and has been redone time and again. Three magical weapons have been stolen recently. Clues in the form of a poem lead those in power to believe the weapons have been brought to a volcano which was once the hideout of a powerful wizard named Keraptis. These are no mere magical weapons, but sentient artifacts. Can your players survive the perils of White Plume Mountain!
- This level 10 One-shot takes place in the Raging Bull District in Waterdeep. A young noble is found dead a block away from Nabulee’s Bazaar of the Extraordinary. Everything suggests that Nabulee was neglectful and left his scarab of death unattended, which ultimately led to the death of the noble. But how did the cursed brooch find its way out of Nabulee’s impenetrable vault in the first place? And why doesn’t Nabulee remember taking it out? Will your players solve this mystery before the noble’s vengeful father has Nabulee beheaded?
Other
- I want to hear directly from you! Name all the One-Shots you think would be awesome to run or that you have run and would like others to experience too.
- Leave a comment below with the name of a One-Shot and people can like your post, if your post receives more likes than any other, I'll work on prepping that one! Even if it doesn't work out, I'll add it to my list of One-Shots to check out and possibly work on in the future!
I'm sure for those of you who've been around, these choices look quite familiar, The last poll was super close and now with The Barber of Silverymoon fully prepped, there are more votes open for the other options!
I can't wait to see what you all decide! Thank you for a year of amazing support. I have a special surprise for our next big milestone, at ~150 patrons you can expect to see one of D&D's Greatest villains and more!!!
Cheers,
Advent
P.S. Be sure to check out the Monthly Wrap Up where you'll find even more updates for this month and last!!!

2023-08-04 23:03:52 +0000 UTCI’m planning to run the Carvers Cave (but maybe rigged so it’s harder to avoid being drugged) soon so that would be cool!
