October 2023 Wrap Up

Whew, it has been a heck of a month, I hope you all had a wonderful October! I've been hard at work getting quite a few releases out this month. We've got a lot to discuss, so buckle in!

Milestone One-Shot 1

I'm super excited to have completed prepping Don't Say Vecna by Michael Galvis and Mike Bernier! A level 20 One-Shot that pits you against one of D&D's most infamous villains...Vecna!  This is a much shorter level 20 One/Two-Shot compared to "To the End of Time" by Winghorn Press, so now everyone will have the opportunity to experience the highest level of gameplay no matter how much time they have!

Milestone One-Shot 2

I've been grinding away at the Scarab of Death and it's taking a bit more than other One-Shots I've prepped before. This one is more like a two-shot and will have nearly 20 pages of notes. It has quite a few different ways your players will be able to handle the mystery. Prepping for each outcome while also making it streamlined has been a challenge, fortunately, I have experience with this thanks to The Barber of Silvery Moon, just like that one I've taken to creating a collapsible/bookmarked approach on Google Docs allowing you to easily find exactly what you're looking for without all of the clutter. Doing this takes a bit more time, however, but I know I'll be able to have it released this month! Based on what I've done so far, I think your players are going to love this one!

Followers/Free Members

Patreon has updated how followers work and is now calling them Free Members, it's similar to before, but now allows followers to receive email updates when I release posts like my Monthly Wrap-Ups and it also makes the pinned post (Index/FAQ) actually appear pinned for them which is great since I now have previews of all my content available.

Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk

I've been slowly converting The Lost Mine of Phandelver to the updated Phandelver and Below revisions. It's coming along faster than others since I already have a base, but parsing through each chapter is still time-consuming, I'm hoping to have Act 1 completed around the start of next year! Act 2 will come much later though since I want to focus my efforts on some of the more popular campaigns such as Curse of Strahd!

Now onto releases for last month!

Curse of Strahd (River Ivlis Crossroad) - And so your players' time in The Village of Barovia is complete! They visited the Blood on The Vine Tavern, met Ismark, and learned of the plights his sister Ireena faces. Did your players choose to offer aid, did they make it to the church, and did they choose to slay or save Doru!

Either way, they must now leave if they have any hope of escaping this nightmarish land. They will travel across the Old Savalich Road on their way to the River Ivlis Crossroad, here they will come across Barovian Scouts, perhaps retrieve Van Richten’s Cache, and most importantly have their first fateful encounter with The Legendary Strahd Von Zarovich. How will they react, only time will tell...

Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk (Part 1 Cragmaw Hideout) - Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk stems from The Lost Mine of Phandelver a classic and beloved starter set that many new DMs run. Are your players ready to live the fantasy, slay dragons, save towns, and delve into mind-shattering madness!?

Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk (Part 2a Phandalin) - It's time your players entered the town of Phandalin, did they save Sildar and destroy the goblins within Cragmaw Hideout or did they rush straight here? Either way, they'll slowly begin to uncover all that is wrong and if they're true heroes do something about it!

Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk (Part 2b Redbrand Hideout) - Here your party will find themselves at the Redbrand Hideout. This is a more typical dungeon crawl. Your players will have the option to enter from a few different locations, but overall things are relatively simple. Towards the end there's a chance for Glasstaff to escape, if he does, that's not a problem since your players will be able to encounter him later down the road. I also teased an item that will come into play next session in a twist that completely changes this adventure for the better, but you'll have to stay tuned to find out more!

Wow, this is the most I've ever done and I'm happy to have done it for all of you!! We'll be returning to our regularly scheduled releases this month with the addition of the Phandelver and Below updates! Yearly Members can look forward to the release of my prep for The Ascendant Cascade as well!

Without you, we wouldn't have reached this massive Milestone and I can't thank you enough! I'm so excited to see what the rest of this year brings and I can't even begin to imagine what next year is going to look like!
