[Poll] What One-Shot Should I Prep Next?
Added 2023-11-23 19:08:25 +0000 UTC
For those of you who celebrate, Happy Thanksgiving! It feels like I'm making these posts faster than I can prep! You guys are just tearing through milestone after milestone! Which of course means another vote for which Bonus One-Shot you'd like to see me prep! We've been here a bunch before, so let's get to it!
The One-shots:

- This is a level 5-7 Asian pirate-themed One-Shot. Buried decades ago, the great treasure of the notorious Captain Jadescale is waiting at the Mistcliff. Though the exact location of the treasure is unknown, it’s said that the owner of the Shore of Dreams has clues about the location, although nothing is ever that straightforward when it comes to treasure. Can your players unearth the secrets of the treasure of Captain Jadescale or will they be undone by its mystery?
- This is an extremely popular level 1 One-Shot based on Matt Colville's first episode of his Running the Game series on YouTube. This adventure begins in a small hamlet in the backwater of the kingdom, it's a quiet place...most of the time. Recently, there has been an influx of goblins in the region and some of the foul creatures have even begun attacking the farms in the outskirts of the village of Villane. Your players are all friends from a nearby village, traveling to Bedegar, in search of adventure. It isn't long before they find themselves mixed up in the business of Goblins and pursuing the daughter of the Blacksmith into the depths of a long-forgotten tomb. This is their opportunity to prove themselves, and to rescue someone in need...if they can survive the perils of the Delian Tomb!
Candlekeep Mysteries (A Deep and Creeping Darkness)
- Candlekeep Mysteries is an anthology of different One-Shots, for this one I would work on the level 4 One-Shot A Deep and Creeping Darkness
- Candlekeep attracts scholars like a flame attracts moths. Historians, sages, and others who crave knowledge flock to this library fortress to peruse its vast collection of books, scribbled into which are the answers to the mysteries that bedevil them. Many of these books contain their own mysteries—each one a doorway to adventure. Dare you cross that threshold?
- A Deep and Creeping Darkness came to Candlekeep with another group of adventurers, given to them by a villager who found it among her grandfather's old possessions. Her grandfather, a traveling bard in his youth claimed to have written it. Though appearing to be nothing more than a combination of diary and penny dreadful, the book satisfied the requirement of a unique work to grant that party entrance to Candlekeep. It chronicles the death of a mountain village called Vermeillon by slow, unknown means. Following a terrible accident in the platinum mine, survivors and other villagers began disappearing. Eventually, Vermeillon's population all vanished or fled, leaving the village abandoned...They never discovered the cause. It will be up to your players to uncover the truth!
- Coming in at the recommendation from one of our Amazing Patrons, The Lair of Auntie Ethel is a level 3 One-Shot. A series of disappearances from nearby beaches has led to a dark panic descending on a small village. What’s taking the people? Are they safe? Only adventurers can help.
- Another recommended One-Shot! This level 3/4 One-Shot is by M.T. Black, you might recognize him as the creator behind Into Ivy Mansion!
- Travelers are going missing on the Long Road, on the 100-mile stretch between Triboar and Longsaddle. Our heroes investigate and discover a haunted mansion with a dark history and a gruesome secret. Their quest brings them to the very gates of hell itself, where an infernal abomination presents them with their greatest challenge yet...
- You've experienced The Tavern at Death's Door and The Drunken Treasure, well how about The Wizards Watering Hole from The Seekers Guide to Twisted Taverns! This Tavern is for Mid-Level players, it can appear out of nowhere, and travel across the planes!
- Standing three stories tall and surrounded by dancing lights and illusory spectacles, The Wizard’s Watering Hole beckons any and all outsiders to visit. This widely renowned tavern has established a reputation for excitement and arcane strangeness. The tavern seemingly runs itself, conjuring all its goods and services from powerful and permanent magics.
Other
- I want to hear directly from you! Name all the One-Shots you think would be awesome to run or that you have run and would like others to experience too.
- Leave a comment below with the name of a One-Shot and people can like your post, if your post receives more likes than any other, I'll work on prepping that one! Even if it doesn't work out, I'll add it to my list of One-Shots to check out and possibly work on in the future!
I can't wait to see what everyone picks! Seeing us tear through milestone after milestone never ceases to amaze me. I am so truly grateful for all your support, it means the world to me! Till our next Milestone!
Cheers,
