November 2023 Wrap Up

Holy Cow, it's actually December, how did we get here already!? This year has gone by in the blink of an eye! It's pretty clear you wanted to finish things off strong which is why you helped us reach the next Milestone! Speaking of Milestones, let's talk about that and a bunch more below!

I never expected to get here so fast and yet here we are again! Another milestone reached, another poll to be had, and the overwhelming winner is Candlekeep Mysteries (A Deep and Creeping Darkness)! Who can blame you either, this is considered one of the top One-Shots in the collection! I'll try my best to do it justice and get the prep done by the end of the year!

Now onto releases for last month!

Curse of Strahd (Part 3 Tser Pool) - Having just encountered Strahd for the very first time your players continue on to the Tser Pool Encampment; based on the vision they received. Here they will meet the Vistani and most importantly Madam Eva who will give your players a Tarokka reading that will determine their very destiny! Once they receive their reading, if they choose to stay for the night, stories will be told around the campfire, perhaps revealing even more about these cursed lands!

Scarab of Death - A young noble is found dead a block away from Nabulee’s Bazaar of the Extraordinary. Everything suggests that Nabulee was neglectful and left his scarab of death unattended, which ultimately led to the death of the noble. But how did the cursed brooch find its way out of Nabulee’s impenetrable vault in the first place? And why doesn’t Nabulee remember taking it out? Will your players solve this mystery before the noble’s vengeful father has Nabulee beheaded?

Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk (Part 3a Reign of Iron) - This is the twist we've all been waiting for. The base version of Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk is fun, but it lacks in a few departments. One of which is The Big Bads; both Venomfang and The Spider.

Thanks to this amazing One-Shot, courtesy of Helianas Guide to Monster Hunting I've been able to seamlessly merge in a compelling narrative. No longer are The Spider and Venomfang two separate entities, but they're merged into one...Volrak from The Reign of Iron! The Lost Mine was in fact the lair of Volrak who stole it from the Dragon you'll meet in this Adventure (Only to have it lost once he became fat and lazy). What Dragon wouldn't want access to a forge to create magical items?

This session will culminate in a three-wave boss battle. It will be the first truly epic battle your players will face in this campaign! Not only that, but they'll meet a new friend, one who may just be able to provide your players with their first truly powerful and unique magical item. This is only the beginning, however. In sessions to come, you'll see how the events that fold out here will send ripples throughout the campaign as a whole!
