December 2023 Wrap Up

Wait what, when did this happen, how did 2023 disappear like that!? It's absolutely wild how fast this year has gone by. So much has happened; between creating a new banner and avatar, unlocking annual memberships, starting a referral program, beginning prep for Curse of Strahd, hitting a ridiculous amount of milestones, releasing more prep than ever before, and starting the search for someone to join the team!

It has been a wild ride and I can't wait to do it again with all of you! Let's get into the updates for last month!

Advent's Amazing Advice is Hiring

The time has finally come, I've been working on Advent's Amazing Advice for well over a year now! Thanks to all the support you've shown, I'm finally in the position where I can add someone to the team to lighten the load of prepping! With their assistance, I'll be able to expand the ways I can help everyone!

Milestone One-Shot

Candlekeep Mysteries (A Deep and Creeping Darkness) was the winner! I had hoped to finish it up by the end of the month, but alas the holidays kept me far busier than I had expected and The One-Shot that I prepped for my Yearly Patrons was probably the hardest I've ever prepped; taking most of my time. I'm working on it now though and you'll see it released this month!!!

Now onto releases for last month!

Curse of Strahd (Part 4a Journey to Vallaki) - And so, it's time for your players to continue on after having their fortunes told...or perhaps they simply chose to ignore their dream and head straight for Vallaki. Either way, the journey will be both interesting and dangerous. They'll trek the road to Tser Pool; crossing the bridge and meeting a revenant who offers them advice should they avoid fighting first and asking questions later. Then they'll meet Morgantha near the Old Binegrinder who will offer them savory Dream Pastries. Just as they think they're getting close to Vallaki, a pack of wolves led by a werewolf will attempt to make a meal of them. Hmm...what are the chances one of your players succumbs to lycanthropy...I guess there's only one way to find out!

A Holiday One-Shot (2023) - The ghost of Baron Bodrum’s former business partner haunts his manor every midwinter, hoping to catch the baron in a trap. Your players will find themselves at the mercy of this very ghost, and his trio of specters bent on teaching them a lesson on morality.

The Ascendant Cascade - This One-Shot is from the brand new Kickstarter Ryoko's Guide to the Yokai Realms! It will have you facing a Gargantuan Kaiju with unique mechanics you've never seen before!

Your players will have to uncover the cyclical nature of Bakuryo, the Koi Dragon, and brave churning, mud-filled waters to stop the enraged water spirit. They'll need to visit several shrines in search of Bakuryo. In these shrines, they'll learn of the spirit’s history and perhaps even learn of a way to resolve the conflict nonlethally, should they be so inclined.
