Important Question for Everyone! (Updated Prep?)

Hello all! I have an important question that I'm hoping you can help me with. I've been considering updating my notes to help the Visually Impaired for quite some time, and while showing the notes to some of my Discord members, they brought up how they liked that version even more than my original.

I thought I would reach out to everyone to gather your opinions! Here are my DM Notes for A Most Potent Brew in my regular style and a version for the Visually Impaired. Let me which you like best!

A Most Potent Brew

If you have any additional thoughts feel free to leave a comment below!

P.S. I've also added a V.I. version for my most recent prep (A Halloween-Themed One-Shot by
B.J. Keeton), so feel free to check that one out too!

Cheers,
Advent

I appreciate any help given for those who have vision issues!

I'm not visually impaired but I am a big stan of dark mode at all times so I LOVE the new notes and will be using these this weekend. Thanks!

100% agree with this! I'm unsure how to improve it on mobile since I've only used Word/Google Docs to create the prep. If you have any suggestions, I'm all ears!

I don't really have an opinion on either one; except to say that they're really ineffective on mobile. All the indenting makes some lines like two words long.

For printed stuff that I can hold, 13.5-14 usually. It's easy to adjust and find the right distance to read it. For screens it just depends on where the screen is sitting, etc. I would usually go a bit bigger than that. I will second Adreas's comment - the Most Potent Brew is awesome - I recently used it to run my first game! The frustrating part for me is the adventures for purchase on Dungeons Masters Guild are very hard to read. I would not have been able to do it without your notes, as I was not really able to use the DMG pdf. Thank you!

I print my notes as well, so I would stick to the OG notes. But I can see if I'm reading along on my iPad that the VI notes would be super helpful! (And a most potent brew is awesome)

Andreas Matern

Interesting, how big of a font size do you usually use?

Advent

That makes a lot of sense. There's a good chance I would end up making both, and it would just take a bit of time to make the new versions for all my old content!

Advent

I have poor vision and prefer to be able to print the notes after editing to increase the font size. If I use a screen the VI one is better (although I would still increase the font size)

I prefer to print my adventures so the impaired one wouldnt work for me.

Personally, I like the updated notes. As long as the emojis are readable by screen readers, I think it's a great idea! Would be excited for, at least, the option between V.I. or non-V.I. versions!
