This album was a collaboration with my sweet friend, Sterling (photo 3) @sterling.waddell on IG. Sterling's unique expression gave me permission to own my sexy, slutty, magnetic, bad-ass bitch embodiment. I am in LOVE with how these photos turned out.
Prior to this shoot I had a massive emotional release as the part of me that "didn't want to be beautiful" came into view. I had created this idea in my head that in order to be beautiful I needed to be vulnerable about the ugliest parts of me. While there is truth to this, I realized that on a deeper level I had been resisting the simple, pretty, even "mainstream" sexy parts of me because it felt safer to be "edgy & different" than to be "beautiful".
Beauty is vulnerable. My willingness to embrace & explore the parts of me that bring up fear & discomfort are beautiful to me.
