Friday Rambles 2023-07-21

It's the Friday Rambles. For Friday, July 21, 2023, on this fine Sunday, July 23, 2023.

I was busy all week with non-Endless-Monday-stuff, which has been the norm for like, 2 months, but now I have a few spare minutes to write the week's Friday Rambles. For what that's worth.

This happened early this morning. A big shot Hololive vtuber, Reine, played my video game, Endless Monday: Dreams and Deadlines. You can go watch the VOD here, if you're into that sort of thing. I think she enjoyed it.

I'm pretty happy that interest among streamers/vtubers has been remaining consistent. You'll probably see other vtubers under other big agencies streaming it too, soon :) I'm glad the Japanese localization is done lol. 

I have been watching streams (or at least skimming through VODs) of both big and small creators streaming my game, all incognito-like, absorbing what people like/dislike about the game, where they get stuck, and so on. The most interesting streams to me are the ones where people share stories about their own corporate life experiences and what they find relatable about the game. One constant I've seen from all the streams is that they all like the art and think it's cute, and they all like the characters. My ego... it's becoming so large...

I'm currently in the planning phase of a new merch thing. It will be the third time I've done this so it's a process I'm familiar with, and one that long-time followers will be pretty familiar with as well. It rhymes with uhhhh Bakeflip Flyger-pan Blushie. ...Anyway, hopefully you'll hear more about this soon.

Speaking of merch I'm dreaming of making some funny and relatable office-life stickers with unique art for the merch store which is in dire need of some new drops. But I don't have time. Did I mention I don't have time lately? It's like all I talk about now. Man I wish I had time.

One insane intrusive thought I've been having lately is "what if I got a real job again so I can get fresh new inspirations for my next game and also have money and good health insurance." Like if I'm gonna be busy and stressed out all the time while also not being able to work on my game, I might as well be getting paid. (Wow look at you whining like someone who didn't just have a world famous vtuber playing your game and a famous plushie company making merch of your characters that people care about)

Anyway, this too will pass, and one day I'll be able to work on Endless Monday 2: The Second One, and then release it in 6 months to a year, and then maybe Good Smile Company will notice me and make a Skye Nendoroid. That's right... No matter what... Skye Nendo will always be my North Star...
