Before you panic - no I am not getting rid of Daz, read the wall of text under the line for a more in depth explanation~

This is Cliff Kleger (pronounced "Klay-ger", it’s Cornish for ‘Cliff’ )

Daz has been my sona for a long time, and really is a testament to what a sona really is. He is me, when I grow, he grows, when I wear glasses, he wears them. When I change, so does he.

I also do drugs, go on dates, flirt, and I have sex. Which means Daz does too.

It seems that these last ones - especially the sex part, has become what Daz is most known for. For being all these things, but also sexually active, Daz has become "sexy sex having Daz, who just wants to always do drugs, always flirt, and have sex with everyone, all the time." I have been called "the guy who made the comic about how you snorted cocaine off a boy’s butt after sex". They are well earned titles.

But you can probably understand why this might be a problem for real life me.

I depict Daz as sexually healthy and active, because I am sexually healthy and active, and that’s it. I have had people avoid me because they think I am only talking to them for sex, or ONLY talking to me for sex. People constantly thinking everything I do is about sex "oh, going to the store? Gonna have sex with the clerk?? lol" or in worse cases, trying to get between me and my husband.

I genuinely don’t mind that people enjoy this side of Daz, people relate to him/me in my comics. Feel empowered by his sex liberation and have even thanked me for depicting sex and adult themes through the eyes of experience and with goofy realism.

The demand for more sexual art from me (porn etc), inspired and motivated me to dive into nsfw and I watched my art improve tenfold. It was the support from my community that helped me improve and try new things, and I will always appreciate you all for that <3

My AD is getting close to 3k followers. Now I am at a crossroads, do I use Daz in my porn? As much I enjoy drawing the scenarios with people, it’s weird to depict him doing stuff with people I haven’t actually fooled around with irl. Plus having in such sexually graphic scenes - which I love, but I don’t think I want to see Daz in those situations. You’re not even meant to see his genitalia, because it would be MY genitalia, and I like to leave that to people’s imagination, if only for the privacy.

So I decided my AD needed its own sona.
