Progress being made, adjusting thing behind the scenes
Added 2021-01-21 02:42:48 +0000 UTCBeen a few weeks, so thought I'd post a quick update. Campaign uploading and sharing continues to be my main goal, and there's been a lot of work going on behind the scenes to support this.
In the last few weeks:
- Added user accounts and friendship to arkhamcards.com, needed to you know who you are sharing with and receiving them from.
- Designed a data system to support campaign and grant access, including adding support for translation to the website (which was previously English only).
- Redesigned the local data store to support moving campaigns from one phone to another, which required a careful migration to avoid losing data (you'll see a notice next time you open the app). On the plus side here I fixed a few issues with the backup system to make it more resilient.
- Adjusted the layout of the settings and campaigns in the app to support new controls (like upload/share).
With all of that basically sorted, I *think* I have everything I need to actually get this thing finished. I'm sure there will be a few more challenges before its completed done, but I feel like the end is in sight!
