Buckling down on BOGLIMAIRE

HAIL

Man, it has been an exciting past couple of weeks. I was finally able to nab my guest for "Cobra's Rage and Shame," and we were able to sneak in a call-in show. I have reached out to a certain somebody to see if his jovial self will return for a podcast topic we discussed a LONG time ago, "Cobra's Friends." Hopefully he's still excited to talk about it! My goal this year has been to do 1 podcast per month, and since I missed January by a few days, I would really like to knock out another one before February is over.

Very happy with the past few podcasts

"Fashion," "Gifts & Gags," and "Rage & Shame" took on a level of quality that I want to forever make the norm going forward. I am especially happy with the latest one's audio quality; there's some tricks in Audacity I've picked up that make it sound far more professional. I am also completely fed up with hearing the bizarre pops that my video editing software is prone to adding, so starting with episode 20 I learned how to use the 'repair' function on the pops as they appear in Audacity. The waveform kind of looks like an eye floater, and is a microsecond long. I honestly get bummed out when hearing old episodes, because there was a lot I could have been doing to improve the audio.

I can't tell you how glad I am that not only is the podcast still coming up with topics, but it feels like it's better than ever. The thought of releasing 12 episodes this year, at this level, is incredibly exciting.

BOGLIMAIRE

Boglimaire is nearly here. While I have most certainly been taking a lifetime to finish this project, the amount of stuff I've been learning in the meantime is worth it. The skill curve for 3D software is insane, there are so many techniques and programs out there that can power up your work. Little things like being able to take a 2D picture and create the illusion of depth and specularity is so damn cool. It HOPEFULLY shouldn't be too much longer, it really depends on whether my guest for "Cobra's Friends" will be available this month. If he isn't, I may as well just go full ass into Boglimaire.

Unreleased moon footage

Regrettably due to some obligations, I was not able to do a New Year's stream. Here is the 2022 moon footage that was created before I learned I couldn't do a stream : (
Fortunately I was able to use the model in the "stream starting" footage for the last call-in though.

Other projects I'm looking forward to

-More animations! I want to do "squigglevision" combined with AI interpolation. Only artwork done via my tablet this time.

-A dusty old Cobra Console idea I've had for a long time involving some lesser known Carolyn lore (Scotty's sister).

-Anything involving Bart and Jeff. I love the feel of "listener calls part 1" so much and want to tap back into that.
