The two-shots take up the interactions. Joe's solo head-and-shoulders shot is framed to keep the characters' height difference in mind, albeit reduced. This is a big moment for Joyce. Joe is confused, but he won't be for much longer. 2. Perhaps Joe is confused because Joyce keeps pronouncing the word "Lah-oon-dree" because it's like using the washing machine as a veeb-rah-tor.
