He's as much of a product of his environment as Sal was, and he seems to have grown into a decent person, and he's mended fences with Sal. Before anyone comes at me lol, yes he pulled the fire alarm, but he was basically blackmailed into it by Blane and had no idea what was going down. And as far as orchestrating, or at least helping the hit......... Knowing what Blane was, his connections, what he did to the others, and what he would do when he got out of the hospital, can you *really* tell me you might not have done the same? Because I can't.
