2024-02-11 11:13:03 +0000 UTCI like Sarah and often come to her defense but she’s been in overdrive lately. I hope something happens that teaches her to relent a little bit. I know from experience that having “invulnerably angry” as your entire personality eventually leaves you lonely and unhappy. People usually prefer someone who- to a degree- is able to be vulnerable and kind and open. At least a bit. You don’t want to swing too far in the other direction or you get Danny who everybody walks over. A balance is what you should strive for.

We have seen that Sal has completely changed her brand in order to fit better into her milieu. This has been a wise move, and has been heartwarming to observed. Sarah, by way of contrast, has been doubling down on her own unpleasant brand, thereby putting more distance between herself and happiness. She has now had two cycles of trying to act on her lust for Jacob, and has now been told explicitly that he's not interested in being her eye candy. He has also told her that he desires *conversation*, which involves the risk of learning about each other, taking input from the real other person. Perhaps Sarah is unwilling to believe that Joe is changing because it is unacceptable to her to contemplate *Sarah* changing. Let's watch this space. Here be stories.
