I mean, I think this is probably a pretty good guide to how he'd likely handle it at first: https://www.dumbingofage.com/2016/comic/book-6/02-that-perfect-girl/humility/ He might not be the perfect little model of acceptance that the guidebooks on the subject would prefer, but I'd be really surprised if he wasn't at least doing OKAY and coming from an obvious place of love, especially since Carol's not part of the equation now.

2024-11-04 11:41:16 +0000 UTCI guess I'm an outlier, or just seen to much, because my thoughts went immediately to Jocelyne being outed, and their mother and brother and the church and possible Hank are after her. Just because Hank is doing "better," does /not/ mean that he is accepting of trans people, and very conceivably he could be part of the problem, and therefore Jocelyne wants to get to Joyce before their dad can. I'm hoping it is about the lighter divorce, or about the dog, and not worst case scenario.
