Well from her perspective just some random friend from high school is not really a connection worth pursuing if it wouldn't give you any advantage. It makes sense if you are like, really weird and mean.

Notably, this is the comic that turned me against Raidah. Not because of all the worse qualities she's shown before but the fact she's not even true to herself. Jennifer came to her with a networking issue and she blew her off. She's USELESS as a contact and there's no reason to show her any loyalty.

@Philip Masters: Quick note that we will *never* see Sarah at one of Tony's games - it's February in comic time, which means football season is long over, and we are never getting to the end of this semester in the comic.

Wow. Willis has really decided to double down on Raidah being a monster. First she assumes that relationships are all about power, and then she shows that she sees no use for friendships beyond their transactional value. (Even Jennifer, flawed though she is, actually wants some friends as, well, friends.) I noted the other day that Raidah might hypothetically be redeemable, but this sort of mind-set is notoriously very hard to fix. I'd love to know how she thinks that Sarah is going to use her new "power", though. Pillow-talking Tony into persuading his dad to expel people? Beyond the fact that members of the football team and its fans may treat with Sarah with a bit of respect after they see her with Tony, I can't see what she gets from this, apart from trivial stuff like friendship, affection, and hot sex. (Incidentally - bets on Sarah turning up to Tony's games in future? I don't have her down as a sports fan, but I can imagine her feeling that much loyalty to Tony. How would she process the whole farrago of US college sports?)
