Sometimes we run out of rope to grab at and have to let go before we get pulled down too. I dunno if it's fair to wholly put that on Jennifer when Ruth was equally self-destructive but that self-destruction and the possibility of following scared Ruth. I dunno if Jennifer's really at the point Alice needs. Doesn't mean she won't ever get there though
