Some Plot Announcement
Added 2024-09-11 04:17:50 +0000 UTCHey guys! I had been unsure about this plot certain point, and since so many readers in RR pointed it out, too, it finally convinced me to tweak it a little.
This is what I'm talking about:
'[You have tapped into the power of a possible future. The power you’ve gained is immense. The cost is severe: 50 years of your lifespan have been lost.]
[The timeline you’ve borrowed power from has been closed for any future use.] [1]
[Additional costs apply. Any Experience Points you earn will be cut off by 90% for the next six months.] [2]'
These are lines from Chapter 18. The [1] and [2] points might seem new to you, because they are - I've added them. They make the Temporal Overdraft Skill less "broken", as was the complaint of many readers.
That's the change. What it means is that, some of the chapters have gone through minor edits, mentioning this fact of his restricted Experience Points besides his lifespan, but other than that you don't need to reread anything.

Definitely. I know some stories, both novel or comics, where the plot is that he's a dying man about to pass in 50 days and fighting to increase that by 1 day every day 😂

2024-09-13 07:05:47 +0000 UTCI personally don't mind deus ex machina, and I think it was done fine here.. A big ass cooldown seems more than appropriate to me. These "life cost" abilities howeve have always existed in cultivation novels, and it gets old very fast.. A few come to mind where the protagonist is literally chasing new life attuned fruits every 50 chapters, because he only have a certain amount of time to live due to overdrawing life.
