Synopsis
Thorvyn Valteria would like to clarify a few misunderstandings.
No, the white hair isn't a fashion statement. Yes, his tribe thinks he's cursed because of it. And no, buying a supposedly haunted house back on Earth wasn't his best decision.
Now he's stuck on a primitive volcanic island where "diplomacy" means hitting someone slightly less hard with your club, while kingdoms with actual "plumbing" exist tantalizingly across the sea.
The silver lining? Every time he kills something, he can tap into the Grey World and borrow its powers. However, the System governing this world definitely notices when someone starts stealing monster abilities.
His plan is simple: survive the island's trials, escape to the mainland, find out why he's here, and maybe invest in a decent haircut.

The copying skill was an addition that happened mid 2025, but I think it enriches the story rather than making it generic. The skill's name, Osmotic Evolution, is a reference to Kevin Levin from Ben 10.

Yes, staring from Thorvyn's name itself, there are a lot of different references across the novel. Many of you Patreon readers have complimented the philosophical side in the Main Character's personality which shows from time to time, which I'm hopeful you guys will love too.
