Starting off his Images, this piece contains some of the most vivid imagery of water in the entire piano repertoire, you can really hear all of the ripples and waves. The original (and forever lost) version of this piece was scrapped by Debussy, and he ended up rewriting the entire thing again in only three days - I can't help be fascinated at how that original version sounded, but we will never know.
